MGSV Ending + Other SPOILER Discussions; For those who finished

I like the idea that Solid is literally RIGHT outside that door, but we still don't see him. We know he's there, we know this is where MG1 happens, etc. i loved how they pulled it together that way. It was neat seeing Venom smirk, when Big Boss told him he is also Big Boss, like he knew ''I have power now.'' but that was all wiped away when he listened to Side B of the tape. Was also very enat, aesthetically, how you could see Big Boss on the other side of the mirror when Venom punched it.

Just don't resort to saying that the opposing opinion is nuts. Ok, fair enough. So are you with happy with how it ended? It's not what I wanted but I can't do anything about it and appreciate what I have. This game was developed under terrible working environments. The fact that the game plays as good as it is and the turmoil going on at Konami is a miracle in itself. The ending wasn't terrible for me and understood why he went this direction. It just didn't have the best execution nor pacing. If you go back in past pages of this thread, I've already explained myself. I will also point out that MGS2 is pretty well received with most of this forum, so prepare for backlash for what you said about MGS2's story. I'm just preparing you, if it happens. Cheers, the gameplay is excellent and GZ built it up to be amazing but it felt like such a let down. I'm very sad about how this has ended. Edited by bracken3000, Sep 27 2015, 10:38 PM.

Not everything about the game is good, very flawed, when it comes to the full execution of the story, which I still found most of it to be good. It just suffered from some pacing issues. That's okay though. But that scene was some classic Kojima. I actually redid the secret mission twice, so I could get everything soaked in, in the ending. I didn't even catch the logos changing with the mirror until the second time. I was glad we didn't get to hear the audio that Venom heard, about Operation Intrude N313, it made it ominous, of sorts. Plus, it let's the player sort of envision what Big Boss is saying, since it fills Venom with such rage. On an unrelated note, something I noticed when infiltrating OKB Zero, the materials containers all have Diamond Dog logos on them. :o Though that was quite curious.

On topic, I also noticed that in OKB Zero, the helicopter pilot in Skullface's helicopter is wearing a Diamond Dog's helmet. Saw a still shot of it and was zoomed in. Its very interesting. Curious, really. I wonder if the DD containers were stolen, and used for funding. Who knows, could just be reused assets but you'd think they'd have caught them, since all other containers aren't like that, in the wild.

Yeah it is a bit of an odd one, tbh though I'd kinda mostly put that down to a lack of polish, the end sections of the game don't seem anything like as polished as the start, bar the last cut scene.

The game was almost complete in March 2015 (when the rumors surfaced the net),so the team did what they wanted,I think.We can't put the blame on Konami when we don't have proof.Personally,I think it was Kojima's decision to write the story like this.

Just thought Venom was chillin' in a bathroom after a mission in 1984 and listened to a tape BB had sent him, which contained his plans for Operation Intrude. Thought the sounds of battle was just in his head, echoing his experiences from the battlefield. Didn't notice the logos changing, but I remember Big Boss was behind the shattered mirror. Went to youtube to check the scene again, but... da fuq?? Logo remains Diamond Dogs and Venom is behind the mirror? What, does the scene change according to some unknown parameters?
