I am pretty sure, as I posted earlier, taboo content was most likely going to occur in Chapter 3. I feel like this scene is fine as is, despite being awkward. Skull Face wants Venom dead, but somehow manages to get Venom to come right to his doorstep. I kinda feel like Venom was lured out. If Skull Face was about to get on a helicopter, he clearly had somewhere to be. Bu t he didn't get on that chopper, he got in a jeep and mosied his way to another base with Venom. Why? Wherever that chopper was going clearly wasn't important, this is why I feel it's being used as a lure. On the way to the base, in the jeep, Skull Face probably didn't care at all if Venom spoke. He had Venom where he wanted. He could tell Venom all of his plans, ideals and everything he wanted done, and Venom couldn't do a thing about it because Skull Face had him right in the palm of his hand. It's where he wanted him to be, he had already won. If he wasn't crushed, that is. Awkward music aside, the scene is good. I feel like Sins of The Father wasn't supposed to be in this scene, but it was a last minute change. Edited by Hoss, Sep 28 2015, 02:23 PM.

Yeah that's a good point, and I was gutted when he was killed because I really liked his character, but that scene needed something, and that song wasn't it at all. |

I'm curious when and why Miller got a prosthetic leg. You can see him wearing one when Huey is being questioned, when they bring in the AI with Strangelove's body inside. Miller has 2 legs here, same for when Huey put on the raft and exiled from MB, he also has two legs. I find this odd since he refused aid, earlier, because he wanted to live with his lack of limbs. But then suddenly, with no explanation he has a fake leg. |

I think the end twist in the game would have worked out much better if we were told at the beginning, that way it wouldn't undermine the players experience with the game, but would also aid to Big Boss turning into a demon, Kojima could have played the emotions of the players and how angry they would be at not actually being able to play as Big Boss, Kojima could have used that player anger to make it easier for Venom to go full Ogre, just like were aren't playing as Big Boss he isn't the real Big Boss, and those thoughts and emotions could have been really explored. I don't think it would fix the problems I have with playing as a double and such, but it would have worked out better than the sudden and forced way we receive the "truth". I really wish Kojima had another year or two to work on the game, because I'm sure a lot of my problems with it arise from the fact it is far from being finished or completely told.Very interesting, this is what I like, lol. That being said I don't personally agree with it, if there are two helpless patients on tow beds, one of which you have to kill the other is a witness you have to kill, then you would first kill your target than the witness, especially considering you are going to kill the legend Big Boss, he comes first helpless witness after. And who does she attack first? Venom. If Quiet knew it would also break her plot further, as her wanting revenge against the boss only works if he was the one who killed her.... Now that I think about it that point doesn't really work in the first place as it wasn't Venom who killed Quiet in the first place, so her revenge doesn't add up. Her knowing would raise to many questions as well, like "does Skull Face know" and a million that would spawn if Skull Face did know. All in all, a neat little look at the intro there, but what she says and how she acts is way to ambiguous to actually draw any solid answer out of unfortunately. Yeah I don't think it's really accurate, I think it was just clumsy writing, if she had just turned to shoot Big Boss instead of Venom then Big Boss would have just died and so would you, the fact she turns to Venom first gives Big Boss and opening to attack her, something Venom was in no state to do. |

I still wonder why he is even still at Konami. They changed his employment status from an employee and director of the company, to a contractor that they contract. He is under no legal obligation to protect Konami or to take his work else where as he is now acting as his own private company. From what I've read his contract expires in December, so maybe it's not quite as reported about his employment status, but why would he still be there, he isn't strapped for cash and I'm pretty sure any big publisher would take him on (maybe not with $80m budgets but still)... I don't think there is anything in the works, but I do wonder if he isn't pooling together all he can so that he can put it out in some form to give us an idea of what his vision was, because tbh I can't see him ever being given the chance to be in sole charge of another project so large. |

But at this point, Venom had his plastic surgery. He looked like Big Boss. Quiet had no clue which one was the real one, she just knew Big Boss was in that hospital room. Also Ishmael was covered in bandages. The patient in the next bed was Ishmael. I would believe that she would move to assassinate her actual target before a witness and since Venom was the spitting image of Big Boss, that would've been him. The only people that know about the doppelganger are Zero, Ocelot, Miller, Big Boss and (eventually) Venom. Edited by Metal_Gear_Z, Sep 28 2015, 08:42 PM.

I dunno, he looks quite a bit older than he was in 3. Could've been a flashback in Chapter 3, he's got a model for a reason. This game is so unfinished.
