But I think I've come full circle on MGSV. After getting proper salty last night, I think I've finally worked it all out in my head for where it ranks for me compared to the other games and what I think of it as a whole. My list ATM MGS2 MGS MGS3 MGSV MGSPW MGS4 But I think maybe replaying PW might bump it up, I'm not sure. PW had a lot of great silly shit, like being able to complete missions armed only with a banana that is lacking from MGSV. But PW also has insane grinding and forced coop that's impossible to get to work outside of Japan.

Whatever the story with that stuff is, we know content was cut. Gameplay-wise MGSV's a clear winner, but as a whole it ranks behind MGS1 and MGS3 for me. Also, I've still not quite figured out how I feel about Venom.

Just kidding :p Yeah one of my few problems with PW is how super grindy it is, of course this would be WAY better if most of the missions in the game weren't vehicle missions >.< and while the game does reach a point of "I need the bandanna to S this mission but I get the bandanna by S ranking this mission" the CO-OP is never forced (of course unless we are talking about CO-OP only weapons, I was able to completely finish the game all by myself twice, that being said, yes it is a problem that it is a set difficulty instead of scaling with the players, making a lot of end game vehicle missions a grind as they shouldn't be that hard as they expect you to bring CO-OP friends. Just because it is possible does not mean it is good, lol, they should have definitely scaled the difficulty instead of having a set difficulty, it makes it much harder for people like me whom don't play online, lol >.< And just for the heck of it here is my ranking of the games (including both story and gameplay) MGS3 MGSPW MGS2 MG:S MGSV MGS4 Though it isn't really fair to ever list them in any order as it always comes off worse than it is, for example my list puts MG:S in the bottom half making it look worse than it is, I LOVE the first MGS game and is just as awesome and is just as a timeless amazing classic as the rest, I can only put these in any order by a small margin and personal opinion, lol, I'm more of a person to judge something by itself and not compared to others, because to say one thing is better than another is just weird for me, MGS 1/2/3/PW all serve their purpose amazingly well for me it isn't about how they rate to each other it is how well they are made for themselves. I think he means MGS2. But I think you are not including it to the list because you do play as Snake for the prologue, where as Baldgye is adding it because you only play as him for the prologue. But due to your wording MGS2 would be included because you said "Metal Gear game were you don't play as either Big Boss or Solid Snake?" you don't state for how long or short you would have to play as said main character for it to be added or removed from the list, and as such no matter how short or long our time was with Raiden, MGS2 would be added to the list because in that game there is a point where you don't play as either of the Snakes. But I'm pretty sure you mean as in a MGS where you never play as any of the Snakes. Some pretty tricky wording and conditions here so that is why, lol. At least that's how I see it, lol.
