If you think MGSV as a single entity, you do play Big Boss in it. Ground Zeroes is pretty much equivalent to MGS2's Tanker chapter.

idk i think this game is pretty much done and dusted... there is so little story here I don't think it will be like MGS2 and the more the massive amount of information is understood the better and deeper it will become.

I'm kinda bummed because I was super hoping for MGSV to be like MGS2 with the best possible controls.. and it's only really been one of those things.
I'm also kinda disappointed because while its offers two huge sandboxes, there isn't really much to do in them other than the missions you have... Venom dosn't interact with anything unless he's blowing it the fuck up, shooting it or stealing it... meh

Agreed. And yeah I know that feeling, lol, I kind of wish TPP was all bad so I could simply throw it all away, but it has great stuff in the game, and had so much potential that I end up thinking about it a whole lot and playing the game a whole lot. TPP is a mixed bag for me, and those are the hardest to live with, lol.

Yeah I sort of share those feelings. TPP is amazing but it does feel so different from previous ones. I was hoping TPP to surpass MGS3 in the story, but it didn't do that which felt somewhat disappointing. I still enjoy playing it a lot and planning to do a 2nd playthrough later :).

Also just installed this mod which gave me back Quiet :D, with every upgrade I had done for her. So happy ;) ! Working perfectly so far.

I actually don't care enough about MGSV to spend much time doing a review about it hahaha but it has got me thinking about how fucking good MGS2 is... I kinda wish I could just watch all the cut scenes to MGSV together... they are so good... might have to redo that sally fight that was fucking cool as shit

That fight, despite being combat only is one of the best moments in the game, I run all sorts of creative play throughs of the boss fight, it is just to much fun and is way to cinematic feeling to leave alone, lol. Yeah fucking cool as shit ;)

Yeah the cutscenes in TPP are great, I think the only real flaw is that its "one shot" effect is undermined by the fact that the cutscenes don't blend seamlessly with the gameplay, and instead most of the time we get a loading screen before we see the cutscene hurting the "one shot" effect (now that i think about it, how many of the cutscenes had that whole "one shot" effect?). I want more cutscenes, what is there is great to watch and very well done >.<

MGS3 had a nice library of all cutscenes, MGSV could really do with one too.

MGSV is structured the same as Peace Walker in that you can essentially re-play the game from start to finish by selecting the missions. It's just that in MGSV you won't get to re-experience the non-mission content like Mother Base cutscenes. Quiet is gone for good too. That kinda sucks.

Though at least MGSV has proper boss health bars

Are you talking about those tiny bars over their heads? Son, those are barely ''life bars'' as far as MGS is concerned. There is only one TRUE MGS boss life bar in the game.

Completely agree, Sally 2 is the only boss that felt like a Boss.

the rest were just fillers and repeats

I mean fuck think about it.

1x Quiet
1x White Mamba
2x Man on Fire
2x Sally's (if you count the huey extraction one)
4x Skulls

and that's it init?

there all considered boss battles, and only sally felt like one.

Like I said a few pages back, all the ''bosses'' feel like ''Advanced enemies'' imo. SKULLS, Volgin, etc. Sahelanthropus was the only one that ever felt like a boss, and even then it was only during the second encounter.

I certainly don't count Liquid as a fight, either. That shit was just boring, running around chasing him, just so I can punch the shit out of him.
