Right now my crush is at this live band thingie downtown(some sort of Death Metal collaboration) and one of the bands playing belongs to this guy that sort of is and sort of isn't an item to her. Makes me all sorts of jealous and pissed off. Being that way I got an idea: Let's make a topic for venting about it! So, in this thread you can all come write about the feelings you experience in that moment. If you're angry about something, let us hear the gist of it! And if you're happy as rainbows and want to sing about it, this is the place for it! Go nuts! |

I'm a little sweaty and hungry, just lost a FFA (sc2) but I'm ok with it as I lost (simply on macro) to a dia player... I didn't expand early becasue usually when a zerg 10pools they dont one base... this one did... :/ so now after that long game I'm pretty hungry. Edited by baldgye, Jan 28 2012, 10:00 PM.

I'm hungry aswell. @ Zuben - I know this seems like such a cliche thing to say, but there are plenty of fish in the sea. Opening yourself up to people is the best way to gauge who's best to spend your time and have a meaningful relationship with. Seriously, I had friends who I thought were my friends to the end, but now I realize they were afraid of ever being more than friends /no homo. By that I mean they couldn't be there for me during my darkest hours, when I was down for the count and needed someone to throw in the towel for me, and tell me: hey kid, we're gonna work on this, you're gonna come back full strength and then some! - they only wanted me around if I was my usual self w/o any problems. The same applies with women - you want someone who'll be there through thick and thin, someone who's loyal, someone who you can count on. If she doesn't want that right now, then that's up to her, and up to you to get over it/not get hung up on it. Although if this is just some broad you wanna pork, well, I wouldn't personally play the game if that were the case, but my advice would be to 'get in' every chance you get and show her what you have to offer, or rather show her what she wants. Up to her if she wants to play ball or not. |

@Matieo10: Thanks for the advice. She's definitely not someone I just want to "pork", I really do like her. But she's gonna leave the country after summer to continue her studies abroad and I have no intention of following her. So that's that. Even so, I do have feelings for her, so things like the death metal guy are annoyances to me as long as she is part of my everyday life. Which she is for three more months, as we live in a boarding school -type of environment; we see each other daily and hang with the same people(only a portion of the school's students actually live here, so we're a tight group). Because of that I think I will postpone the getting-over-her-process till we split ways. For the next three months I intend to have fun with the entire group, including her, to the best of my ability. Also, I have a couple of reasons to believe the death metal guy won't amount to anything either, so getting worked up over him is kinda silly. |

Okay okay okay, it wasn't as emo-bad as it seemed. Only one friend sort of dislikes me and talks smack of me behind my back, the second one was just appeasing her last night and doesn't actually share her views. And even the one that does dislike me seems to be that way for silly reasons, so I think I can talk some sense into her. So... I'm feeling kind of okay now. The day was nice too, went to the gym with two friends(one being the latter of the two I mention above), after that swimming & sauna, ate a light supper, then finally three rounds of billiards of which I won the last one(it was a beautiful victory). |

How do you guys feel about Valentine's Day? It's commercialized as hell nowadays, but it still is a centuries old tradition of love & friendship. It's tomorrow. I hadn't given a f*ck about it before, but now that I have feelings for someone I actually feel sad she won't be spending that day with me. What's more, she's in France(one of the most romantic countries of the world imo) to meet her friends(she's been on that trip for over a week now, started with Britain), and the death metal guy is accompanying her(as an ex tempore decision, he has family and acquaintances in the same locations). So I feel sad and vexed. I've filled my calendar with other events to occupy my mind in the following days. Wednesday I'll be going to a sledding hill with a large-ish group and gonna continue to a bar from there, Thursday my childhood friends come over to check out the place I'm currently studying at and we intend to get drunk in the evening, and finally Friday I'm taking the train to Helsinki to spend jolly good time with my cousins downtown. Only.. tomorrow is completely open. Bawww....? Hell naw, I gotta do sumthin'! Singles, gather around me, we shall spend fun fun friendly friendship time! /brohoof Yeah... We'll see how tomorrow goes. |

Like any other occasion and event, if you've got someone to spend it with, then great, and if you don't, whatever. Valentine's Day holds no real significance to me, other than it was the day I happened to have my first kiss with a girl. That was nearly a century ago, though, and since it's been, as I mentioned, a day that's either been swell, real swell, or oh well, as I would say. Tomorrow I'll likely notch up an 'oh well' for myself. I'll be celebrating Anna Howard Shaw day =) Oh, and fuck France. |

Well V-Day sucks for me this year, as my gf is stuck in italy  and becasue of the insane snow-fall they have pretty much all flights near her are canceled... shit sucks |
