Metal Gear Solid 5 may be hiding under a cardboard box right now, but Kojima has laid another teasing tweet over at his official Twitter feed, comparing development of each new MGS game to the Olympics. Translated by OPM, Kojima’s tweet commented on development of the Metal Gear series, “When asked what the MGS series is to you, I once responded, ‘It’s like the Olympics.’ A big event held every three or four years.” “You devote your life to the major goal of a fight on the world stage, “Kojima continued, “You think of nothing beyond that. The latter half becomes difficult, and you think that you’ll retire after this. I counted 20 trophies on that list, and it was announced that there are 34 trophies all together. I reaaaaally wanted a big boss emblem trophy. Something to surpass my KZ2 elite completion. Oh well, we still have more to go. Yes they are most likely story related. But please Big Boss emblem!WWWWWWHAT THE FLIP! YES! CATMAN! Tips for MGS2/3 plat? I have a ton of time off, so I'm gonna platinum them both before MGS4 Trophies happen. Yeh for MGS2 when collecting dog tags.. shit it's been a while so I don't really remember where things change in terms of new dog tags showing up. Either way, one thing I do know is that before you head off to fight the harrier, save your game and go back to the main menu and check your dog tag progression, you'll more than likely have left 1 or 2 behind because as you progress through the game new guards will show up in old areas. So don't forget to do that on all yer plays, save before heading off to fight the harrier and make sure you got everything before you leave Then ofc there's the one guard left when you come back to big shell 1 I guess and he's listening to music on his shit, but you probably knew that already, aside from that it's pretty straight forward for sniper challenges in VR Missions I would recommend using both the tranq and lethal one if you have both available, cause you can spam shit up with the tranq one and doesn't matter where you hit them, they'll go down eventually. As for MGS3 it would be great if you had like a strategy guide book where you could cross off whatever one animal you find and collect, if you don't then maybe find a list online of all that shit so you can gross off what you've found and what you haven't, other than that mgs3 is pretty straight forward |

Thanks that really helps alot. Hoping to platinum them both by saturday. Hardcore time! So what are your thoughts about the trophies now guys? To me it seems accidental, I mean I have yet to see the full trophy list, but say all other trophies are as easy as the rest of the ones shown, and there's just that one half assed trophy for ipod songs that requires you to do literally everything in the game then I'd say they've accidentally added it, thinking "can't be hard to find all songs lol" in all honesty, getting all emblems is stupidly annoying, I mean you'd have to individually get Big Boss, FoxHound, Fox cause as far as I remember unlocking Big Boss does not grant you the no.2 and 3 emblems |

Actually, earning BB does also unlock its equivalent ranks. http://metalgear.wikia.com/wiki/Big_Boss_Emblem_Criteria I don't think this was accidental, i think Kojima is playing with peoples expectations again. People will look at this list thinking it will be easy, but once they start playing it, they find out differently. Its sort of similar to MGS2. We all thought we would be playing as Snake in both chapters (thats what the trailers led us to believe), but he threw Raiden in to play with our expectations. And with MGS4 (most people don't see this one) we expected Snake to die (again the trailers led us to believe he would), but he didn't. And now he's doing it again. The proof is in the pudding

ehhhhh, comparing a trophy list with the Snake/Raiden switcheroo is kind of silly That said even if that was the case, they're being stupid with it, I mean some bragging rights "man, I got the trophy for getting all ipod songs in MGS4, I'm a fucking god" you'd sound like a jackass saying that on the other hand, if they had one like "THE CORPSE OF BIG BOSS" telling your friends you unlocked that shit by beating the game on the hardest fucking difficulty with no alerts and no kills, that would be a trophy to brag about now it's just "yeah I got all ipod songs" at this point the person you're telling this to is already not listening to you because he's going over in his head how much apple sucks, and you're like "it's actually really hard I had to do all this stuff n shit" Yeah that's how it goes |

Thing is though, nobody except an MGS fan is going to care about your MGS4 trophies anyway. Somebody who hasn't played MGS4 isn't going to know the difference in difficulty between beating act 1 and act 2 (even if you tell them). So it really doesn't matter. Its about pulling the wool over the eyes of the player, and not a person who isn't going to play it. Kojima isn't concerned with your bragging rights. And if it were an accident, i doubt it would be worth a gold. Take away the Snake eater & Big Boss songs, and its worth a silver at best. |

You should do that  EDIT: MGS4 trophy patch tomorrow. http://www.psxextreme.com/ps3-news/11659.html Another EDIT: I think i just realized why they went with the Ipod tracks instead of a trophy for all 40 emblems. Emblems can be earned multiple times. Its possible that if you already unlocked all emblems before the patch, and then earned any single emblem after the patch, the trophy would unlock (even though it wasn't ment to). But with the Ipod tracks, once you've earned them you can't earn them again. They wanted people to start fresh, but still unlock all 40 emblems. MGS4 trophy patch is live now!!! CARTMAN! GOT A PROBLEM. It says i have 12 to get. I'm just before the harrier battle. On gamefaqs it says i should only have 8 more. But on the dogtag menu it says i need 12 more. And it isn't saying were they are located when i highlight them HELPZOR! Kk, I managed to sort that problem. I now have only 2 to go now. The dude on the mp3. And then iriqui pliskin.
