The camera work has been excellent since MGS1, but I think Kojima just finally mastered it in MGS4. Some of the angles he used would seriously add so much intensity to the scene. |

Nothing feels as epic as that final salute in MGS4. The most epic moment i have seen in media. I've never seen that angle used before.

Been reading about Metal Gear Solid Integral, it's weird that it was only released in Japan. It kind of is the definite version of the game, it had a demo theater, a second disc with all the VR Missions. I might buy it some day, but since it's japan only, I doubt it would work. But then again PS3 is region free, but not sure if that applies for PS1 games. All these versions confuse me tbh. Now I read english version in general of MGS1 has the demo theater, I don't remember this? I do know I have some VR Missions, not sure how many because I have only done like 40 or something but there is more to unlock. But not sure if these are "default" vr missions that came with all versions |

Serio? PS3 disc-based software is region free, ie. you can play JP and PAL versions of MGS4 on a North American model. But not PS1/PS2 games outside the model's region as far as I knew, ie. you can't play JP and PAL versions of MGS and MGS2 on a North American PS3. I'm not sure, though, never bothered or interested enough to try, but I did briefly bring it up to user1337 on GT way way back. |

I had no idea Richard Ames was so involved with the Shadow Moses Incident. http://metalgear.wikia.com/wiki/Richard_Ames I saw it earlier when I was contemplating reading In the Darkness of Shadow Moses, but saw it was like 340 pages, but I saw Ames' name in there so I figured I'd read his wiki, did not know any of this, lol. |

It goes into such detail of how involved Ames was in Shadow Moses, I mean I remember having a conversation with Jim Houseman and all that but I can't recall Ames being in it. Ames apparently made some comment that "They are not happy with this" I'm not sure if this is referring to in the actual game or if it's some behind the scene stuff that only Natasha knew about and wrote in the novel I'm planning on replaying MGS1 soon, so I guess I'll find out. But I am positive that Ames at least by that name does not make an appearance in the game |

Yeah, Ames has quite a backstory that's behind the scenes, I read some of In the Darkness of Shadow Moses. He was also in the Big Shell because he helped Nastascha reveal information, if I recall correctly. |

It's pretty cool that he was. He's the one that forced Colonel's involvement with the mission, by getting Meryl over there as part of his threat to Colonel. As well as Nastasha's involvement obviously. Pretty cool shit |

You're going places, Nyxus. I hope you'll make money somehow off your site eventually, lol, you deserve it putting work into all that shit, articles and stuff. I started my story playthrough of Metal Gear Solid now, I fucking love the atmosphere of this game so much, I love how dark it is, I'm not sure how to describe it, but the game in terms of atmosphere just has the greatest feel ever. |

I know what you mean with the atmosphere, it really has this cold, moody, ominous atmosphere. |

That's fucking awesome, Nyxus. I mean, that's big. But, the atmosphere to MGS1 is so much darker than all the other games. The music is one of the main reasons why. Just so haunting, but yet so awesome. MGS1 did such an excellent job of making you feel nervous/scared. That dark, moody, setting just leaves a eerie feeling in your gut. I fucking love it. Brilliant. Congratz. I know this is just your dedicated blog and a forum full of GT faction members, but did you ever consider creating a database of sorts on the MGS franchise? ie. character profiles, events timeline, and so on. |

Not really, sounds like an ambitious project, but also pretty cool. Although, the Metal Gear Wiki already has that. |

In the prison cell now, going for the Meryl Lives ending, although I kind of prefer the ending where it's Otacon and Snake at the end Anyways, lol something funny. When Otacon arrives at the prison cell, I called him on the codec while he's standing there "What are you using the codec for? I'm right here" |
