This is one of the most impressive cutscenes that Kojima has ever directed. The visuals, presentation, camera angles, zoom, and the music are all superb in this scene. I feel like Kojima spent a lot of time on this particular part in the game. It honestly was so well done, that I wish was the ending of MGS4. I'm not knocking on the epilogue with Big Boss, I like that part a lot. I have to admit, it dampened the intensity of this very scene. At 2:48, with the guitar from Theme of Love playing, that zoom in on the flowers with Snake blurry in the background with the gun about to go in his mouth. In that moment, he is accepting to kill himself. This scene is on par with games today, visually. Wow, Love theme. I messed that up lol That sig you made me is too smooth. So I'm probably going to be doing a huge multi-part recording about my thoughts on the Metal Gear franchise, what I dislike about its community, etc. Either on Vocaroo, since it's easier, or Twitch. Will probably be a coulpe hours long, just my voice. No fancy editing or anything. Anyone interested? |
