No, Vocaroo is a recording site, it created hosted audio files. You can download the files from Vocaroo, too.

Just a small test recording, about 15 minutes long, give or take.

Need to repad my mic.

I'm actually interested. Honestly, I think I might want to do that myself, in the future.

I listened to that and tbh, I dont really think I would be, becasue it's just you chatting about things I mostly agree with and feel the same way about, and listening to things I just agree with is uninteresting at best.
It would be interesting to have a group of people (coherant) talking about things like Raiden as the main character in MGS2 from diffrent perspectives rather than just your's which I pretty much agree with.

For example, most people love MGS3 and consider it the best of the series, but when it came out I hated it... really really hated it for months untill I decided to sit down and get over not having a radar and either running or crawling, it was a change of pace to how I played MGS and I wasn't ready for it, but it made me a better MGS player by forcing me to adapt and change how I played all of the games.

tbh, I'd be more interested in watching speed-runs... playthoughs of the game where you'd hack it or use exploits to kinda make the game go crazy and have you commentate while doing it, or speed/S-ranking MGR:R and then talking about how you aproach each battle and what your doing etc etc

Yeah but that recording isn't really what I'd be recording about, and I can guarantee you wouldn't agree with a lot of my opinions, lol. I'm gonna be doing the entire franchise. :3

Also, I would love for some of us (Nyxus, you, me, Solid, etc) doing a Talking Heads type podcast or a chat room that we record, and just bounce opinions and disagreements back and forth. Maybe a one hour deal.

I wouldn't mind doing that. I'm much better at expressing my opinions about MGS through talking than I am typing/writing it. Even though, I feel like I've been a part of this community long enough, and you guys respect my opinion. I'm just not very good at conveying how I truly feel through typing. A podcast would be cool. I'd be down.

MGS2 is also my 2nd favorite entry in the series. I felt the exact same as you. I was 11 when MGS2 came out. I was too young to understand and appreciate the genius that MGS2 is. I was thrown off, pissed, confused, just completely and utterly lost. Like you said, I felt alienated. Especially when I first played the part where you're inside Arsenal and you know the rest.

But, the more I played it and the older I got, I finally understood, that was part of the beauty of MGS2. Kojima wanted the player to be thrown off, to question what was real and wasn't real. He wanted you to feel like Raiden. Raiden represented the gamer.

MGS2 is just one of those games that you can't play one time and fully appreciate it. The more you play it, the more you catch on to certain things. You start to understand that it's a recreation of Shadow Moses. You understand what GW was talking about with Selection for Societal Sanity. You were thrown into this situation, you and Raiden obeyed every command given to us. I seriously could elaborate on how amazing this game is.

I believe I made a thread on GT on our MGS forum some time ago, strictly about MGS2 and how amazing it is. I don't even want to begin talking about the GW codec conversation before facing Solidus. I think it's one of the most profound moments in gaming and any form of media I've witnessed. Just uhhhh......too fucking awesome.

I would love to record my thoughts. But, you pretty much covered quite a lot of it. I might do one on MGS1. Just so you guys can understand how much that game means to me. lol

I'm prob gonna do one for each game like I mentioned, but not sure.
Also, noticed near the end I say ''Raiden is not a symbol of his fantasies[...]'' I meant Rose isn't a symbol.

Ah man that's hilarious, his response to them being disgusted is so funny, never knew of this. Hilarious how you can keep harassing her and how Raiden's like guessing her age

Another one I never knew of, I knew you could use the directional mic to listen in on her but not call her up and comment on what she says, very funny stuff

ahaha what the hell, how did I miss this stuff

I've gone through all of this too. And it's the main reason why MGS2 is my favourite game of all time. The sheer depth of it's story and themes is utterly astounding, and I've yet to play another game that's even close.

I've always loved MGS2 but I think there's a reason I didn't feel as alienated as others when playing it for the first time, I had played MGS1 but only the demo and so I knew that I loved the concept of it all, hiding from enemies as opposed to just killing everything but I hadn't developed a deep affection for Solid Snake at the time, of course I shortly after got the MGS2 demo and played the fuck out of it and did start loving Snake from just the demo alone and as the full game came out I was bummed out that I wasn't playing as him the full game but I got over that pretty quickly.

With many, many, many replays in my younger days I started puzzling together the plot a little by little, as I was learning more and more english, I mean I knew the Colonel went apeshit at the end but I had no idea why.. Then in 8th grade I did another story playthrough, it had been a while since my last story playthrough and by that time my english was much improved from in the past due to having gotten pretty involved with the internet and all that and so reaching Arsenal Gear and hearing about the "S3" plan my mind was fucking shattered, especially after all these years of me and my friends having had numerous discussions about the similar events to Shadow Moses that happened in MGS2, all of the sudden it was like.. oh my fucking god, it all makes sense

Been a brilliant game to have grown up with

I never had a problem with Mgs2 playing as Raiden, because I always assumed I'd go back to playing as snake at some point... And by the time i got to the end I'd had such a good time I didn't care anymore.

And there where times I actually preferred playing as Raiden because be was quicker and more nimble. That said, now I don't really like playing though it so much. MGS2 was a game I played hundreds of times, getting dog tags and just messing around, and it's the music that I don't like about it, even though it's really good... It's a strange game for me, and probablly my least favourite of the Solid titles.
