I actually like the trojan horse idea of Ocelot becoming Liquid. It requires some suspension of disbelief, but I'm used to that for Metal Gear.

I think we will. Kojima is talking about it an awful lot lately, seems like it's something he really wants to do. Maybe after GZ, on next gen?

Not gonna hold my breath. It's something I've wanted since the day SE came out. I would seriously kill for a Joy game... :/

There is so much potential for NEW stuff in the franchise, it's crazy. Just imagine a reworked, progressive, in-depth CQC system where you develop it over time with Jack, that would be so sicj.

They where talking about Kojima and metal gear on the latest bombcast, and its not all positive... infact most of it isnt (which is fine)... but they did make me think... Kojima has been making litterally the most insane big budget well selling games... for years.. and Konami and KP havn't turned it to total shit and forced one out each year.. and instead have let it grow slowly into this huge brand...

look at Assassins Creed, Call of Duty and other big selling franchises by 3rd party publishers and they are all forced into this 1yr cycle.. not Kojima... its pretty amazing and we are pretty lucky when you think about it

Yeah of course there's a chance it won't happen, but since Kojima mentioned it more than once, it just sounds like it's something he would really like to do. And yes, it could be awesome.

Konami isn't forcing MGS stuff because they know Kojima is almost the only reason they are so steady now days, lol. He keeps them alive, almost on his own. Better to keep a franchise golden than tarnished and lose sales.

Yeah Kojima said he sees himself making not more than two, maybe three big projects per generation (spin offs and re-releases aside).

Besides, I don't know what contracts he's under but if he decides to quit because he doesn't like the way Konami runs things, I don't know what that company would do. Don't they mainly live from Metal Gear, PES and Castlevania?

Doesn't mean they are immune to ruining it, they are smarter than that, though.

No I know, but a western publisher would have fucked that hole until it bled and then moved onto the next big thing... Look at Resident Evil, Silent Hill etc etc

I think we are pretty lucky to be able to (regardless of people liking it or not) have this insane future stealth action game based (essentially) around crazy bosses and a walking nuclear tank lo

I like Kojima so much. Tweeting the Spiderman underpants he's wearing... never forget.

I like how he has Tweeted his Spiderman boxers, his Union Jack boxers, his Spongebob boxers and his lipstick boxers. He's so goofy.

I think I missed the other ones. But yeah, he just doesn't care, says what he wants. That's nice.
Another funny tweet was when he was eating caviar and fish, and he posted a photo with the text 'Father & Son'.

I was thinking about the possibility of MG/MG2 remakes and, in my opinion, the bosses in the first one (still haven't finished solid snake) are not that remarakble when you think of it. "Machine gun kid" for example. We get it, you have a machine gun and... that's it.

So if KojiPro does a remake or in some way merge the events of the first games with, let's say, MGS5, would you like to see the return such bosses or would you like some new ones to fill the place?

I want MG1 and MG2 in all their shitty glory if they are remade.

C'mon, Running Man? Gimme that shit in Fox Engine, even if it's the worst thing my eyes will ever feast upon.

I would like the story and characters to be rewritten so that it's up to the standard of modern MGS games, and expanded as well. Really focus on the friendship between Gray Fox and Snake, for example, and the relationship between Big Boss and Snake.

My ideas:

Man, imagine the mine field fight in Fox Engine... oh God.

And that one moment, when Frank steps on the mine that does him in... dem details we'd see.
