I think we should operate on a game by game basis, but i think its pretty safe to assume if your going to post in an MGS forum, you've probally finished MGS1-4 at the very least

Every single person in my class are so stupid. I have to cover my ears when they talk about a film or game. Let me show you how the conversation normally goes

"Have you seen X movie?"
"Yes"
"It's brilliant isn't it? I like the bit where (Main character) dies."
Me: SHUT UP! HOW MANY TIMES HAVE I TOLD YOU!

I was spoiled the ending of MGS4. Yknow that bit RIGHT at the end *Wink*
I was probably too dumb at the time to realize the gravity of the scene though. So either way i was screwed.

Btw, everyone who has completed MGS3/4 should look at this

I had a friend of a friend who's house I would visit often to play Silent Hill at. The time SH4 came out they'd both already beaten it. The one who'd visit aswell, said friend, would go out of his way to start off a sentence: "So how about that Silent Hill 4 ending, I mean..." out of nowhere into whatever conversation was going on at the time, and it'd usually involve me leaving the group and walking away - you know, high school. In any case he eventually caught me off guard and spoiled the entire plot twist. I have yet to finish Silent Hill 4.

Since then I've finished all the important games with-in the first 24 to 48 hours or as soon as possible...

Except for ME3 Posted Image not even bought it, and yet to be spoiled. That's not an invitation BTW. I've been pretty careful as far as ME3 spoilers have gone. Actually surprised I haven't said oh fuck it yet. Hmm.

Anyways. That Master Miller *shakes fist*

I wouldn't belittle someone for being cautious with spoilers. I was spoiled that plot-twist in Harry Potter: Half-blood Prince, because someone thought everybody knew it already because of the stupid meme-thing(think it was 6 months to a year after the English version had been published and I only read the Finnish translations, which hadn't come out at that time).
Just to be sure, I'm not belittling, I just think that since this is a Metal Gear forum, and MGS3 is from 2004, it isn't necessary to use them. Of you course, not a problem if you want to use them anyway.

I'm so glad I wasn't spoiled on the plot twist in MGS4.

Kojima on Metal Gear Remake: 'I'd have to rewrite it, and I don't feel like doing that.'

NO! NO METAL GEAR SOLID REMAKE!

If there is going to be any remake it's got to be Metal Gear 1/2 but he doesn't want to do that right now and thats fine. But please don't remake MGS1

I wouldn't mind a remake of MGS1, since someone else would do it anyway. But I don't think it's really necessary.

"I don't feel like doing it". Fair enough.

I'd be for an MGS remake. I have Twin Snakes, but I think alot of people missed out on that due to it being on the Gamecube. I agree, though, it'd be nice and, even more so, interesting to see MG 1 and 2 given the remake treatment.

In a way I'm glad Kojima understands the stories would need to be rewritten. Hopefully he wants to do it sometime, maybe after Project Ogre. But he shouldn't do it unless he wants to.

The luxury of being Hideo Kojima. So many publishers and developers basically forced these days to green light projects for the sake of their finances over integrity.

I don't want another remake of MGS1, it seems so uncessary. Twin Snakes already proved that it isn't needed and just killed the atmosphere of it all. MGS1 was designed to be played the way it is, so another remake with over the shoulder aiming mode, free camera.. if people thought TTS was easy, this would be an even easier one.

No remake will ever beat the experience of MGS1 anyways, it just seems like a big waste. I'm not sure what a remake could offer to make it a better experience. Honestly, I'd much rather have rewritten versions of MG and MG2.

MGS1 is one of the few games that have really stood the test of time imo.

Hell no for another MGS1 remake. It's already been done. Twin Snakes was a fun experience and I love it, but it lacked the atmosphere, emotion and intensity of the original. The voice acting doesn't even begin touch the original and the music in the original 100x better.

MGS1 is it's own. It doesn't need over the shoulder and first person view for shooting. That's why MGS1 was great, the lack of those controls added to the experience.

Anyways, it sucks that he doesn't want to remake the original Metal Gear 1 and 2. The games I prefer he goes back and makes an HD remake. I understand it would take some time because he would have to rewrite many parts to be compatible with the story today. Kojima said he will make games until he dies, so there's definitely time for him to make these games if he ever feels like doing so.

Twin Snakes isn't that bad imo. I play it more than I play MGS1 to be honest.

But I'd honestly rather have a MG1/2 remake before MGS1 remake. Sometimes Kojima can really annoy me. Why not have those melon-headed morons who were working on the original Rising do MG1 and MG2?
