I was amazed that his 'contract' was due to expire in December to be honest, idk how Japanese employment laws work but I'd have been outta there the day the game shipped. If you follow his twitter you can see that he hasn't been snapping pics from his Office as he was before all this blew up and has seemingly been out and about a lot more. I still kinda hope that Miyamoto gets Nintendo to fun him his old team so they can work on big budget proper titles for Nintendo's new NX machine as they are the only Japanese company that could really afford Kojima's top end work. |

If the NX is an actual next gen piece of hardware I absolutely would agree that Nintendo is where Kojima belongs. |

Why the hell do you guys feel like he should head over to a specific company and console? What makes you think that's what he wants to even do after the ending relationship between him and Konami. He'd be better of taking a break and making a movie, or just starting his own studio. |

1. He isn't a movie maker and to make a movie with a similar budget to his games would require financial backing he would never get. On top of that he has made his name (for better or worse) as one of the top video game directors and is respected and has the chops to merit it, but outside of this he is unknown. 2. The relationship breakdown between him and Konami is largely a mystery though money issues were clearly part of it. 3. If he made his own studio how would he fund it? 'AAA' or big budget video games don't really exist in Japan these days outside of Nintendo and Platinum. Square-Enix only makes average FF games and lolSega. Nintendo on the other hand has million in the bank due to the insane sales of the Wii. The WiiU's whole goal and purpose was to try and get 3rd party's back on board and get 'hardcore' or older gamers back into Nintendo rather than it being soley a child's machine with fanboys following along, this didn't really work out and if Nintendo hope to have something even close to resembling an 'ace in the hole' Kojima would be it. He's a no nonsense designer pushing boundaries and Miyamoto has already expressed that he is a huge fan of Kojima's work which is why The Twin Snkes ever happened. If Kojima joined with Nintendo he would have the budget for his old team back, freedom to make a proper game and it would give Nintendo a genuine adult game that appeals to almost the entire 'gamer' demographic. He has also proven with his GBA & PSP games that he is able to make use of unique features of machines. To further expand on this, I don't think it makes much sense for Microsoft or Sony to try and go after Kojima. There machines largely cater to the audience of Kojima's existing work and the cost of having a Kojima exclusive wouldn't be very valuable so late into this console cycle. On top of that Kojima is Japanese and from hearing and listening to interviews he has done, English is clearly not a language he is totally fluent in, on top of that he's what 60? I can't imagine he would want to move away from Japan and being employed by Microsoft might require that purely down to a logistical pov. As for Sony, Sony is in pretty large finance trouble and is still undergoing a massive restructuring in order to make its self profitable. Nintendo conversely as I have already said, have a massive bank, have a huge dev team and offices based in Japan and are in the process of launching and developing a brand new console. If you worked for Nintendo and decided that you needed a big brand new game from a big third party, or a big name Kojima would be pretty high up on that list. If Nintendo could launch a system, more powerful than the Xbone and PS4 that came with a brand new game and a brand new IP from Kojima, along with the bevy of Nintendo IP's it would be massive. I don't even like Nintendo and have been vocal about how shit the WiiU was and is from the second it was announced, but it would make a lot of sense. Idk if it will happen because I've no idea what Kojima want's to do with the rest of his life and I've no idea what NX will be and what it's goals are. nice comment nice! I read all your other points and there fair points. The movie point that I made was due to Kojima being dead chummy with Guilemreomeomroer del Toro, Hideo doesn't need money if he were to work along side him. Not to mention he's also chummy with George Miller, and Nicolas Winding Refn likes Kojima's work too! All three of them I'd love to see Kojima work with! I just don't think you'll be seeing anything from him for a long long time! It's not like he has the Metal Gear or his other IP's to fall back on anymore Edited by Brett, Oct 28 2015, 06:32 PM.

I tried FOB once and that was it. Seeing the last cutscene on Youtube was enough. Also, John Cygan died. He was a good voice actor at least as Solidus (don't know what else he did). Edited by Zuben, May 16 2017, 09:37 PM.
