You know what's crazy? We're approaching the 4 year anniversary of MGS4. For me, this is amazing. It's hard to believe it's already been 4 years. When you look at MGS4, the visuals, presentation, graphics still hold their own among today's standards in gaming. MGS4 is still, in my opinion, one of the best looking games this gen. It just goes to show how Kojima is amazing. His work is ALWAYS ahead of it's time. |

Same for me. In terms of visual presentation, animation and direction the game still hasn't been surpassed for me. People point at low res textures and the like, but in the end those things really don't matter. It's not the best looking game overall anymore (I think), but in some aspects it still is. |

I totally agree about MGS4. The game's presentation is absolutely stunning. This may sound pretentious, but games like Metal Gear and Uncharted have spoiled me when it comes to video game presentation. I recently borrowed Dead Island from a friend. While the gameplay can be fun at times, the game's overall presentation, voice acting, story, etc. are so bad that I just can't get into it.

Very true, actually Uncharted is one of the few games that comes close to MGS in terms of presentation, especially regarding cutscenes. Most of the time it looks a bit clumsy and unpolished, even for big titles (Assassin's Creed is a good example). MGS cutscenes are polished to perfection in that regard. I have a shit load of MGS related drawings and other shit too. I think I had +100 drawings from when I was just a kid about MGS1. Too bad my mom threw them away I think. |

I think my mom destroyed/threw away more than 5000 or so drawings, not even kidding. I shat notebooks full of drawings, mostly dragonball, samurai x, gundam wing, tony hawk's pro skater and zelda |
