Pretty sure it sold out with-in no time here in North America. I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't, though, because the MGS4 SE didn't do well either - or rather it wasn't actually limited, and there ended up being left overs everywhere, and it remains one of the few SE's I've seen being sold at retailers as a used game.

I still have to get that US MGS4 CE. I saw it used in a Gamestop once, but it was pretty damaged. And that was in 2008.

I don't regret getting it on day 1. I learnt alot from the 'making of' bluray included. Also got that MGS Saga Vol. 2 DVD as a pre-order bonus, and that will always be a good watch for whenever I don't want to play the games hahaha

I do regret getting RE5's CE though. The 'making of' bluray, again, really great, but everything else included was rubbish.

I'm very close to beating all of the VR Missions. I've got the last two MGS1 Snake Elimination levels, and the hold-ups to go. :)

shit nigga, really? I did that few weeks back. Felt fucking good getting that "Virtually Impossible" trophy, followed by the platinum

Aren't the VR Missions fucking awesome? Hold Ups are my favorites, god it's so satisfying seamlessly running through a level, never stopping, just one hold up after the others, and the fucking sneaking ones, ah.. good stuff

Yeah, I really love the bomb disposal ones too. It's so satisfying when you find a bomb in a really good hiding place. :)

How'd you do on the MGS1 Snake / Tuxedo Snake Variety levels, they can be pretty painful

I remember it was basically the moment I decided I'd do everything, I was far from full completion on the VR Missions and I just sat down, put on MGS1 Snake's variety 1 and said to myself that I'd just sit there until I beat it and if I didn't give up, I'd be able to go for the "Virtually Impossible" one, turns out it wasn't so hard, but fucking stressful, all those guards running on that sniper level

It got easier when I used the non-lethal sniper mixed with the lethal one, since with the non-lethal you only need to him them once and after some time they'll go down

I actually didn't have much trouble with Tuxedo Snake's variety levels. The sniper one felt much easier to me compared to Snake's. As for the dark one, I've pretty much memorised how to beat that one now. So that was also easy for MGS1 Snake.

As for MGS1 Snake's other variety missions, I found the sniper one ok. It took me about 8 tries but was alright in the end. As for variety level 3 well... that was a complete bitch. I got very lucky with the Genola, as I used the wall/target method and got it done really quickly.

I've thoroughly enjoyed doing this though, got 27 hours in about 5 days lol.

mahnigga, seriously. It's fun with people that enjoy these vr missions, they really are a whole lot of fun

The Tuxedo Sniper Level is fucking cool, it's so crazy with the trains of guards running all synchronized. I didn't have much trouble with it either, took me maybe 3-4 tries.

I actually did MGS1 Snake's variety 3 on my first try, lol. The coolant spray is incredibly helpful during this, whenever the tengus jump up close to you, just equip it and spray them, if I didn't have that during that battle it would've been a whole lot harder

I would have done MGS1 Snake's variety 3 a whole lot quicker, I managed to get to Genola on my third try with almost no health left. I had absolutely no idea what to do though, and ended up getting punched :(

I actually just beat up all the sword tengus until they died lol. It was suprisingly easy to do, I just had to be aware of the gun tengus. I just stayed behind the boxes to the left for the whole mission, it makes hitting two sword tengus at the same time a whole lot easier.

Ninja Raiden just looks the same as Olga's ninja suit. Raiden X is just Raiden naked, and he only has one mission.

100% pals FOREVUR

My final playtime isn't very accurate though, couple of those hours are from me being idle then getting back into it after an hour or two

Now lets both of us have a go at getting 1st rank on every single mission with every single character

NOPENOPENOPE

Have you aced some VR Missions though? Like all on sneaking or whatever

I haven't aced all missions on one category. Though I think I've come close...

What missions did you find the most frustrating? ^_^

most frustrating, hmmm.. I found the Grenade weapons challenges pretty fucking frustrating, not most levels but I believe it's the final one I hated, y'know where all the cubes are below you in a maze of shit, god that was really annoying, wasn't necessarily all that hard, I don't think I failed many times, maybe 2-3 but it just took such a long time and missing one after another was just maddening. So I'll probably say Grenade Level 5

For boasting purposes: I've aced all hold ups on every single character, sneaking on every single char, sneaking - eliminate all on Raiden, Snake, Pliskin, Tuxedo Snake, and bomb disposal on one or two characters

Exactly what I was going to say! Grenade level 5 was just fucking awful and so tedious. Especially MGS1 Snake -_-

I was lucky with MGS1 Snake, I actually think I did it on my first try, actually that's not true but on my second. But I remember being less frustrated by his then I was by Tuxedo or Pliskin.. I have no idea how, the grenades are even worse using cause you have to wait around, but I guess it forced me to learn their patterns so I just used my shitty brain more during his version of it, then what I did with the others where I was just mad and spamming with that RBG thing

I was really dreading the sniper missions because I was just assuming they'd be hard as well since the Variety 1 was really tough, so with Tuxedo and MGS1 Snake I started with Level 5 and worked my way down instead, lol, didn't have to do it though, they weren't very hard

Same with me on MGS1 Snake's Grenade level 5, I tried it lots of times but I was being really impatient. Once I actually took it slow, it wasn't that bad.

I found Pliskin and Tuxedo's variety levels pretty easy. As they were mostly identical lol.

MGS1 Snake really is the only one with really hard variety missions. I do love, I think it's Snake, but it could be Raiden.. either way, whichever you get to face Gurlugon, I like that boss battle. But god I was so annoyed when doing it, cause I had gone through the whole thing y'know defeating all the soldiers and shit, and then I get to it, and I'm running thinking, whenever I make a quick stop, run away from his beam thing and then fire, and being the idiot that I am, I fucking equip the stinger right away, I get struck by his beam and at this point I can't equip my ration so I die and fail the fight, lol.

I do really like the huge guard bosses you face, I wish there were a simpler way of facing off against them, where you could just start the battle straight away. That could've been a thing for all boss battles and it would've been awesome, similar to the boss survival only you get to pick what boss to fight against, and there Genola, Gurlugon, Mecha Genola would be as well.
