Let's just say it's a little overwhelming getting back into it all. Still can't beat the bloody second tank, T-72U. I always run out of 'nades and bullets, and I don't have a rocket launcher. Is there another way of beating it?
lvl ur shit up yo and reseach better shit

These large belt-fed guns like the PKM. But you should capture it, take out the soldiers and the driver (though I still don't know what exactly triggers him to come out).

Turns out I did have a rocket launcher lolz that helped alot - the driver popped the hood and all I had to do was kill him.

Doing some sidequests in PW. I lost a chopper yesterday, but captured a new armored vehicle today.

if you tranq all the soldiers and then get the tank or choper's health down a bit the pilot should pop out.

Yes, I found out yesterday that the soldiers can't be asleep or unconscious either, they have to be either dead or recruited to trigger the next wave.

Guys! I stayed up till 12 to get the vita collection yesterday. It's pretty darn cool, I'm just gonna list some observations I made.

CAUTION! HUGE NITPICKING IMMINENT!

The Start menu is strangely blurry and has high latency. But that doesn't really matter.

Despite what digital foundry said, i think MGS2 looks slightly better than MGS3.

AA could be better but MGS2 still looks good.

Resolution is good, you wont notice that MGS2 is sub native resolution.

MGS3 looks ever-so slightly blurry this could be to compensate the sub-native resolution.

Transfarring works well

Frame-rate keeps jumping back and forth from 30 to 60 in MGS2. This is my only complaint with the MGS2 conversion as it is quite noticeable.

Indoor textures really good in MGS2

Cut-scenes look really good in MGS3

Zero's voice is weird at times in MGS3

Don't look at the grass in MGS3, it's very jagged.

The sound is fantastic in both games.

I haven't played much of it so bare with me. Who is getting this game?

The newly voiced lines you mean? For the Vita control scheme?

I remember in the HD Collection the colonel sounded very different from the original voice, you could clearly hear which lines were new.

I don't think i have heard the new line that was added. But i meant in the cutscenes, when he is on the gunship it is fine. But when you hear him through the radio as you are falling to earth it sounds a bit odd. Like it was voiced by someone else.

Hm, I don't know. Maybe it's because of the radio filter they used.

It blows my mind how we can't crouch walk in MGS3 on the Vita, but in the 3DS version of MGS3, we can. -_-

I'd rather they didn't change a think and just remastered it like they did.

Additional observations:

Noticeable ghosting during cut-scenes on MGS2

As far as I can remember, that's always been in MGS2, it's extremely noticeable when going through the deck halls (lights out, flashlight, etc.) on the ship, in the prologue.

Oh right, I'm glad there isn't ghosting anywhere else. Can't stand it.

To unlock Paz' diary I have to fight an impossibly difficult Pupa? Nice.

yeah... 100%'ing PW is a pretty dumb process of painful grinding that I couldn't cope with lol

Don't get me wrong, I love PW, but you have to be a madman to plat it. To much grinding.

Grinding that for me, ruins the experience of playing the game. Because all the cool shit you can get in that game, is locked behind and inside a castle of grinding so impenetrable it might as well be made from solid diamond.

Yeah I just think it's a shame you have to grind to even unlock story elements. For secret items such as weapons okay, but the story shouldn't require grinding if you ask me.
