I dare to dream man. But E3 is more likely.
I don't know, we should at least have some good info from that magazine. Of course they are hyping it, but it should be at least something.
Even if it's just new screenshots I'm interested to see what they show.
Yes, still relatively little is known about the game, so every piece of media and info should be interesting.

Today is also the day that issue 217 of Play Magazine comes out, which promised ‘stunning new details’ on Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. The magazine features a two page spread in the form of a preview for the game, but most of the details were already known. The screens posted in the magazine are also already existing ones.

One new piece of information Play gave us is the fact that Raiden won’t be able to use guns at all in the game, only enemies will have them. Raiden will use solely blades, and aside from his katana he will also have a subweapon that he can use, such as a dagger.

Another new detail is the fact that Raiden is able to parry enemy attacks, even when his back is turned against them.

I know. We should get more Rising updates 'soon', they had some 'very big things planned'.

Nah, I think they just mean big things in terms of announcements and media hype.

Maybe not, but that's what they said. I hope we will get an awesome looking CE.

I can't believe the amount of bitching that still goes on about this game on the internet. It is what it is, get over it people!

Exactly. Most people are not giving this game a chance, because it's different. Gamers always say they want change, but when it happens, they act as if they have been 'betrayed'.

well in my opinion i liked the story of the original proposal of rising i thought that had huge potential but im excited for this new rising since its done by an extremely underrated company. so to me the new rising is MGS meets No More Heroes.

I get where Rising's critics are coming from though. Couple of years ago we were sold an image MGR would be a different kind of stealth game, with more fast paced elements to it or something. Add to that the cutting mechanic demonstrated with the watermelon and how revolutionary it felt at the time, making us feel like we were in for quite a different gaming experience. What we'll end up getting is a Bayonetta/DMC-style game with Metal Gear -characters and non-canon plot, and while that too may be a good deal it still means we're not getting what we were originally "promised". Some people have stronger feelings about that than others. And some whine because the internets.

Having now replayed MGS4, I don't know anything that suits Raiden being a demigod more than this game.

I understand that, and I'm also disappointed we will never see the previous build as a full game. But we have known this since December, it's time to get over it. People should stop complaining about this with every Rising news, they just have to accept that this is Rising now. The previous build didn't work, according to Kojima, so it is what it is.

By the way, when Rising was first revealed at E3 2009 people where complaining about it as well.

No doubt, but that's a general rule for everything. Everything. Thing is, people are not part of a hive mind, they do not share one grand opinion and unanimously switch to another after some time. There will be groups who are hating from day 1, some who are hating from day 400, some who love from day 1, day 500, and those who never give a shit. Point being, I see red whenever someone whines about people whining about something, because they tend to come off as if thinking the haters are always the same people.

Not attacking you personally, Nyx, just whining about people whining about people whining about stupid shit.

My point is, that this is what the game is now. You don't have to like it, but to see complaints about the current build on every news item regarding Rising, gets very tiresome. If you don't like the game, and you have already decided it's going to be shit (somehow), why still follow news about it? Often these people have already made up their mind about a game none of them have played.

I'm just kind of annoyed by all the negativity all the frigging time. Which is also prevalent on Gametrailers. It's good to be critical, but I don't see the fun in bitching and whining all the time. Or when I search a Youtube CODEC call for The Twin Snakes, as I did yesterday, every single comment is about how MGS1 is better, clearly without giving The Twin Snakes a chance and not looking at things that are good or even better in TTS. It's the same thing, a sort of small mindedness of those who probably call themselves 'real fans', but I would call them the opposite.

But anyway, they will continue whining, but then I'm allowed to whine about them.

I don't understand that argument, at all. That game was broken and so bad Kojima wouldn't let it go out and had it killed off totally....

...how can that, be better than a game he want's and that will come out being a better product?

True enough. For those who have played TTS and hate it probably feel they musn't remain silent about their disapproval, lest the devs will make similar mistakes again in the future. I'd support the principle if the execution wasn't so lame. Then again, sometimes devs listen...

For those who haven't played TTS and whine about it... They are douche bags. Period.

I fully understand people preferring the original. I just hate the lack of nuance, or the fact that they never give the game a chance. The music isn't 'horrible', neither is the voice acting. Of course it's fine if you like the original, and very understandable, but a little nuance every now and then would be nice.
