Doesn't matter how the end product would've turned out, it's how delicious the original sales pitch is that make masses wet their panties and the level of rage when the pitch turns out to be nothing but empty promises. I'd wager a lot don't even know Kojima himself said shit is broken, they just checked the new trailer and heard Platinum Games is making it, which resulted in "NOOOO, YOU PROMISED SOMETHING ORIGINAL, WE DON'T WANT A STUPID BAYONETTA CLONE!!!" |

@Nyxus, you already know my take on the comparison of MGS1 to TTS. I'm sure most people know that MGS1 is favorite game ever. Sure, I prefer the original, I've loved it since I was 7 years old! But, does it mean that I don't like TTS? Fuck no, I love The Twin Snakes. I do like MGS1's limited gameplay options better because it adds to the intensity of the game. Although, TTS's gameplay is sick as fuck because it has MGS2's gameplay. I know the voice acting is different, I like the original better in that regard. But, the voice acting in TTS was also great. Yes, they removed Naomi's accent and emotions from her voice, but it fits her character more in MGS4. I'm not gonna go into the cutscenes, I know TTS has the matrix-like cutscenes, but I don't care, some of them were awesome, except for the missile jump. From a true MGS fans perspective, I truly enjoyed TTS. It was great to see another take on my favorite game of all time. It was great seeing actual facial animation and updated graphics. Both MGS1 and TTS are great games. @Zuben and Bald, I side with Gye on this one. People need to understand that the original concept of Rising fell apart. The game was broken and had extreme setbacks, and it fell under. Kojima wasn't going to allow that game to be released. Sure, there were empty promises, but you can't do much when the game fell apart, and his team couldn't do it on their own. Hence why Kojima put the game into another team's hands. I'm just glad there is such a high level of quality control, they won't release a product that doesn't work, even if it means cancelation or a complete shift in game design. And I agree with what you said about TTS and MGS1. |

It wasn't really an argument, I was just stating why I think people are so butthurt about it. They can't seem to get the fact their dream game wouldn't have worked in the end. Stubbornness, lack of intelligence, not informed enough, you decide. |

It's probably mainly not being informed enough. Everyone should watch that 'Truth Behind Rising' video, they clearly explained the reasoning behind this decision there. I also don't think there is that much difference in gameplay from what we have seen. From the previous build we only saw fast paced hack and slash gameplay, and that's what we saw in the new trailer. They said there would be stealth, but we never actually saw it. |

idk to me i feel like rising isnt taking it self as seriously as a standard mgs game. and i like the new build like theres a lot of the old build i enjoyed like the story but i feel like the new one is going to be a lot of fun. it reminds me of no more heroes and vanquish and i loved those two games. |

Also a possibility, but this does seem like a coincidence. Maybe they will go into Raiden's 'Jack the Ripper'-past, and will they have flashback scenes with Solidus. |

I think that's what they were going for, but it may have been better in theory. Anyways, lets hope the new details are actually informative and not just filler to hold us over until E3. |
