You know, of all the major huge game franchises that have existed... there are maybe two other that have managed to maintain this insane level of quality.. Zelda and Mario ...think about it, this is a spin off from a totally diffrent team that, dont make stealth games and that dont work like KP... yet this game, is fucking glorious. It takes that amazing, jaw-dropping cut scene in MGS4, and turns that into an entire game. It's wonderful and amazing that it even exists. People who where mad about it going to Platinum and that the KP one never came out are total idiots, when a game is canceled and shipped to another dev, its not becasue there where some problems, its becasue the game was complete shit, the design concepts behind it where broken and the game was an unplayable mess. And think about the number of games that have been shipped around from one dev to another, they by enlarge are total shit, Platinum has done an amazing job a job better than KP could have ever done. |

update on my opinions of the game, without spoilers I don't know how many chapters there are, as i can't see the trophy list, but I've just finished chapter 6, and holy shit is this game amazing. It's packed full of so many nods and winks to the MGS franchises its really really amazing. It's such a well made product its hard to think that this team is so young. There are a few niggles though, the camera is kinda broken, becasue everything happens so fast the camera is jerking around all over the place and its hard to pick items up/know where enemies are, which is kinda annoying for blocking/linking combo's... also the free look camera can get stuck when your in blade mode, which makes spine harvesting difficult and can make it impossible. Other than that, this game is really really REALLY good. The art style is amazing, the gameplay is so much fun and the character design is awesome, unique and also very metal gear. No, no its not... not if your an MGS fan... this is what I don't get.. if your a fan of MGS/Kojima then this game should interest you... even if you dont like the genre or suck at it (like me lololololplayingoneasymodewithautoparry) you should be interested in seeing what Kojima wanted to do with Raiden but didnt have the team do what he wanted... I don't even know from when that post is but if I had to guess I'd say shortly after the 2nd world premiere of it where I was at the time upset with the direction the game had taken (perfectly acceptable) and completely oblivious to who Platinum Games were, I mean I knew they had made Bayonetta but I had literally not seen a single review of that game or even read impressions from people on forums so I had no clue whether they were capable developers or not, I just thought the game looked like shit Yes my hate was biased back then but I was just a butthurt fan displeased with the title... it happens My recent impressions however I was not sitting here calling the game complete shit, I was saying that it bores the shit out of me personally but that I can see how the gameplay in this can be good so getting so fucking mad over an impression like that is just absurd on your part Well he did mention Kojima so that's why I brought it up Edited by Cartman, Feb 15 2013, 02:30 AM.

My hate is a little bit biased, yes, but I genuinely disliked the direction the game took and I am not interested in the genre so give me a break, guy. Don't take everything to heart. I can understand how some of the past shit I've said comes off as pretty douchey in regards to this game, but seriously my demo impression was just me not being interested in the game or the setting, tis perfectly acceptable |
