This is for smaller Kojima related news, that doesn't fit in any of the other threads. So news about for example Rising or Project Ogre should go in their respective threads, not this one.
Full news post. Hm, I wonder what this means. I don't know how definitive this is, but it does sound worrisome for those who are interested in a Metal Gear remake. Since there is no more Japanese voice actor for Campbell, as well as Gray Fox and Ocelot. Edited by Nyxus, Apr 12 2012, 12:07 PM.

I can't imagine this actually means that really at all, given that the guy retired before he died so Kojima/Konami had to have had some idea that there would be someone to replace him... ...this could just be out of shock and respect... but i think that any hopes for an MG remake are thin given Kojima saying that he wouldn't want to do a remake of either game :/ Edited by baldgye, Apr 12 2012, 12:12 PM.

Well, we haven't seen Campbell in a game since he retired, so it's hard to say how serious this is. But yeah, Kojima doesn't seem interested in those remakes, but I will never give up hoping.

yeah but as soon as one of your key voice actors for a major franchise (isn't MGS konami's biggest franchise other than pro-evo?) you start looking for a replacement |

Yeah, I do think that they would find a replacement if necessary. I know it's a shame to not have the original actors anymore, but that's how these things go... |

I'm fine with young Campbell we were introduced to in Portable Ops, but the Trautman-clone always felt overwhelmingly boring to me. |

Quite sad that he died, I mean ofc we're not all that familiar with the japanese voice actor for Colonel but thinking about there being no more of Roy Campell is pretty sad, he's a great character and I love the US voice actor for the guy. |

You mean the Solidus? I think it looks pretty good, although the Play Arts figures are always a bit exaggerated. But yeah, it probably falls over all the time, like all my figures do. |

Yeah, The Boss's face doesn't really look like her. A little too manly. But other than that they are great figures. I like how real the eyes look. Kojima is doing signing sessions in Europe now. He's in Germany, and the 10th in Paris. Don't know the rest of the schedule though. Fox Engine to be demonstrated in July. Edited by Nyxus, May 12 2012, 11:38 AM.

Really don't care too much for an African setting that much, I think that a more urban setting could offer a far more interesting enviroment for a stealth action game. The first Act in MGS4 was by far the stroggest setting wise... I really hope we get something like that. |
