Yeah I think Hayter could do it. It would probably sound more like his normal voice, or like the one in MGS1. And yeah, I don't know what happened to the Boss game, but that could still be a future project. |

It would be really exciting seeing a younger Solid Snake again, just hope they don't fuck up the characterization If they go really far back then I'm fine with that too. Just seeing Solid Snake again would be cool as shit, but then again what about that Diamond Dogs image, maybe him mentioning Solid Snake was just that, MGS5 might still be another BB prequel Honestly both would be very exciting, Big Boss in his later years, where the gray hairs are just coming in, or a younger Solid Snake As for his voice, definitely hope he makes it more like it was in MGS1 and 2, going from 2 to 3 it's pretty noticeable how the voice got changed, and sadly not really for the better if you ask me, sometimes it sounds like he's struggling to get the words out, voice sounded more confident in the first 2 games Edited by Cartman, Jun 21 2012, 12:27 AM.

For MGS4 I thought it was fitting, as he was practically dieing. But yeah, I would be curious as to how a very young Snake would sound. |

I don't want to see Solid Snake post MGS4. It would be brilliant if it was Pre-metal gear. |

No he didn't, but he did say they weren't done with Snake yet, which kind of implies it. But then again, there was the Big Boss artwork a few months back. So who knows. |

have to say, one thing I liked about MGS4 was that it could be a little more sci-fi than sci-fi retro (which is what MGS3 and PW where basically), so I'd kinda like an MGS set around the time of 4, maybe before, maybe after.. I kinda like that world and time frame... and given how messed up the planet is at that point it would make sense for there to be many special missions going on at the same time |

Yeah, a game set after MGS4 would be cool, but I don't think it would have Snake as the protagonist. Maybe a new character, and Snake as a CODEC contact. |

I'd like Kojima to do an MGS2 and have its lead as 'Snake' but a diffrent Snake... and have it in the style of Fox Hound being reformed, becasue there is always a need for a special strike unit of highly specilised infiltration doods (lol). And I think it would be pretty cool if they created this 'new snake' as a totally new character that has basically no ties to Solid Snake and Big Boss etc etc, but have themes that link him or her to the original Big Boss... I duknow, I'm not super invested in the lore/story of the MGS saga, but I'd love something fresh away from 'olden times' and Snake and Big Boss... |

Yeah, that would be interesting. There are still some things on the timeline that I would like to see in a game, but other than that, something like that is how they could keep the series going. |

Yeah, tbh, I think that for the core 'stealth games' it would be nicer if they moved on from that time/frame (and maybe from 'Solid' titles all together. But going back to that series with spin-offs and experiments (like AC!D and Rising) as I think they add alot to it, like they did with Peace Walker. I'm not saying that if they don't do that MGS5 will feel stail, just something that I think would be cool and diffrent. Though I'm super interested to see what MGS5 will be mechanics wise and if it will take anything from MGS:PW's RPG stuff that I really liked (appart from the insane grinding required) |

Yes, I'm with you. Also, seems like Kojima has been paying attention to other stealth games that have come out, such as Deus Ex: HR. I also liked the experience system for weapons, but I agree it shouldn't be about grinding. |

one thing I really hope they do something with, is the concept of 'speed stealth' the classic ninja style of steath that was hinted at in MGS:R's teasers but never really shown. I think that could make for an amazing mix of both action and stealth, which is something MGS has always been about |

I just hope Metal Gear Solid Rising, the previous build, will still be developed someday. If they find a way to make it work, which they couldn't right now. |

Yes, Big Boss in Africa in the 80s seems to be a likely scenario. |

Yes, late 70s or 80s, can be either of those. Based on that artwork, where Big Boss seems older than in PW, but younger than in MG1. ![]() Also because Big Boss saved Naomi in the 80s, in Africa. The magazine this news came from said MGS5 could be made with Fox Engine, but it was mistranslated to 'will be made'. So not confirmed yet. Edited by Nyxus, Jun 24 2012, 01:55 PM.
