He told the boy that Paz had told them everything Paz and Chico were being held at the base.. I don't see any reason as for why that boy wouldn't be Chico. He's a little bit older and it's a new game on a new system, visuals tend to change with that |

It is canon, but for PO they retconned some of Gray Fox's backstory, so they could do it again I guess. |

PW was alot more anime in its characters than most MGS titles have been, so maybe this is a harder more realistic version, but the kid dsnt look much older than Chico from PW and Big Boss looks noticiably older... but who knows, I could be wrong. It would make little sence for it to be Chico from the story snippets we have seen in the trailer, as the kid is told to go back to your boss and say hi for me, or something like that... that would be redundant when your boss is already in the enemy base... and i can't see Boss as using children as double agents for recon... all these new avy's of Big Boss are really fucking confusing Edited by baldgye, Sep 2 2012, 02:16 AM.

Just look at the grass, It's not rendered, this must be current gen lol. "I want to make it clear that Snake is back, but I'm also back." Where did Hideo go exactly? I mean we had peace walker in 2010, he hasn't gone anywhere. The guys at the start, you think they were XOF? They mentioned something about being friends with Cipher, they are a third group i think. This is weird, all these new names and terms, it feels like it's a separate Peace Walker series or something. |

Mainly due to how BB looks. He looks WAY older here, closer to his MGS4 counterpart (and that was set in 2014). The thing BB used to bring up the map, IMO, supports the idea the game is set closer to the 90's. Chico was what, between 11 and 14 with PW set in 1974? I'm only going off the tailer, so ALL theory on my part

oh btw, it is confirmed to be Chico Go watch the extended demo that IGN uploaded, he mentions it when he brings the map up "the cage you saw at the beginning, where the boy was being held, Chico" 11 minutes 25 seconds in |

For me bandana or not Naked Snake > Solid Snake The only thing i'm worrying about story wise is that since the whole MGS story wasn't written at once and instead is being added on and stuff game to game there's likely to be things that were never mentioned in later MGS games just randomly showing up Like the whole PW story isn't referenced in MG1 or MG2 to the slightest isit? (Even though its a VERY long time between them) |

nahh I'm going with it being mid to early 80s... there is a Walkman and 71s music being played on it... the map projection tech dsnt really mean anything becasue in 2001 they had codec systems, nanomachines, walking nuklear tanks and personal radar systems build into your eye... |
