Imo , GZ will feature traditional boss fights , some story "relevant" , and some hidden , or optional.
I think it will also feature a system to coop in those bossfight , like blue phantoms from Demon's Souls , you could "summon" them by touching the mark they left in their game.I mean , It will be a little like PW , but seemless and totally grounded in the game progression.

No idea what it means but I see "TGS 2012"

Yes!!

Oh and btw , Multiplayer is really exploding in japan.
Dragon Quest IX , Monster Hunter , Pokemon , MGS PW and so on....all these are really heavy in the market. And all feature MP(even for the first time ever in some series). They are a lot more on local stuff though (handhelds particularly).

There are two areas in which PW westernised.

2. Big multiplayer push.

How is that Westernizing? I'm not trying to sound like a dick, but are you new to gaming? Multiplayer is not more Western than Eastern, at all...

oh and btw in regards to that article about the day/night cycle

"Stealth adventure Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes will include loading screens as players sneak about its open world map."

Such a poorly phrased sentence, why say it like that? lol... Sounds like their intention was to say it won't have loading screens but they made an error and forgot the "no loading screens" the way it's phrased is just weird

to the boss fight thing. Peace Walker didnt have a traditional boss fights because it focused on coop not because of westernization if that was the case the B&B unit would not have been in mgs4 because that game was focused on westernizing the control scheme. i think GZ will have unique boss fights again since theres no coop.

I can already see a ginormous mech slowly giving us chase around the open world map like the big monster in Infamous 2. That was an awesome battle.

Libertad o Muerte = Freedom or Death

But I assume you already know that, I love it how the setting will be in Latin America again, been Latin and such, I'm guessing from that seal he'll be joining the revolution related guerrillas sprouting all around the continent, can't be more hyped!

I hate Infamous, the only game I don't mind that much about been repetitive and even then I complain to others about it is AC but Infamous took repetitiveness to a whole new level

AC was , and still is the most superficial and reptetitive game ever to me^^
It even tries to prove it's not repetitive , which is the worst thing.

Only AC1 is really repetitive, and I still liked it.

yeah AC1 is the AC I was referring to, AC2 improved every aspect of the first and made everything much more rewarding, I couldn't help but notice references to MGS but I might be alone in this

and my point is Infamous is like 20 times more repetitive than AC1

protect the bus
protect the train
protect the generators
protect the bus again
protect the train again
protect the generators
destroy the sensors
destroy the sensors again
destroy the sensors one more time
follow the bad guys to their hide out
follow the bad guys to their hide out
follow the bad guys to their hide out once more time

I don't know how they improved this on Infamous 2 (haven't played it) but I don't wanna play it either

because u can use whores/thieves or money to do the same thing (distract) , its no more repetitive? The exact type of superficial things that made me hate AC series.
At least infamous 1 (Didnt play 2) had a good story.
But that's not the topic !

I just watched GT popblock and...they spoiled the shit out of me freely throwing PW key events with no warning, morons , I'm not going on this site anymore!

Oh and btw , do you think the game will still feature the "!" overhead of the enemies and the little sound when u get caught? It seemed not to be the case in that trailer!

yeah, same happened to me when I saw the pop block trailer, reason I want to play PW so badly now, and well is too soon to say the "!" symbol won't be there with its sound because the Boss didn't get spotted by the guards or the watch lights, my bet is yes it will be there, and I believe so because that's one icon that represents the franchise and it was present in MGS4 which is the first current gen MGS we have

Not the Beast.

The first encounter, where you're on foot instead of standing on a truck/hanging from a helicopter.

Kojima knows, MGS has been the biggest accomplishment during his career and he knows every aspect of his game from the inside out

you seriously consider he will take that away for a new installment, with better technology, when it has been there in every other MGS to date?

I expect a lot of changes too.
The sound effect wasn't there in the trailer , and to me , it's heading to a more "realistic" approach. There always were a lot of realism , military-wise at least , in the series , but now , it seems more believable.
I will miss this a lot , but I dunno , I feel it won't be there.
