How would you guys want this game to be played in terms of the campaign is tied together I'd honestly prefer it if the main storyline wasn't missions or quests at all but instead just played out naturally like it would in any other Metal Gear title, you have your goal of.. say saving Chico in that rainy base, there's a context for everything you do in that mission, it's very tightly structured in terms of the storyline, no stupid filler to prolong the game, you learn more about the situation, you're not placed there and have to do 9 missions that have very little relation with the plotline before you can save him They can give us loads of side missions within the world with their own story, that'd be a great way to extend the experience but I hope the campaign is as tightly structured as they can make it, wouldn't want a totally disjointed one that feels like Arkham City in terms of progression |

In regards to GZ, will Harry Gregson-Williams come back for the score do you think? IMO, a major MGS game on home consoles needs the best, and his score is something special in MGS

I won't feel sad if he doesn't. MGS1's soundtrack remains my favorite of the series. |

MGS2 theme is my all time favorite track but they're all so fucking great The MGS3 music, shiiiiit it's god tier, I really love Norihiko Hibino's stuff in that game, dat fucking caution and alert themes n shit so fucking iconic and recognizable |

The best thing to come from Portable Ops was it's soundtrack... ...Despite a large number of songs just happening to sound like they were ripped from earlier instalments. My favourite might have to be MGS1 if not for nostalgia's sake. But the music in that game only feels right to me when I'm playing it really, the music's become so iconic that I've become desensitized to it unless I'm really in the moment. Ground Zeroes' soundtrack already sounds awesome, though. Gotta love that distortion guitar cued just as Big Boss appears. That was a good feeling for the first time, that man knows how to make his trailers. |

Although I adore MGS4's soundtrack and MGS's soundtrack.....MGS1's will forever be my favorite. I mean, each track is memorable. It sets the tone so well. But, MGS2....each track that they played enhanced every scene. "Memories of Hal", "Ray Esacpes"'. The sneaking music is just outstanding. |

Here we go again: "Kojima says Ground Zeroes will be his last MGS game as a director, the main reason behind this is that he wants a chance to develop new games, and he believes the MGS franchise should be something like James Bond movies, where each movie is directed by a different director who attempts to create his own take on the famous British spy" http://z-pad.net/ground-zero-will-be-the-last-kojima-produced-metal-gear/ |

Would be a good time to leave MGS for a while, bring out ZoE3 on the next gen systems, finish Ogre... do Snatcher 2 and Policenauts 2. Then, MGS6. BOOM |

Kojima is going to make a Boss game and a Gray Fox game. ![]() But yeah, I'm also interested in Project Ogre. Would be a great game to show off the next gen systems, and what the Fox Engine can do with them. Maybe it is Project Ogre what he was talking about here? Kojima believes that with evolving technology, we will eventually reach a stage when gameplay rendering quality will have the same standard as movies. However, aside from just creating better cinematics Kojima wants to create new gameplay mechanics as well, that will make players feel like they are playing a movie. He added that he can’t get into more details at the moment, but that next generation it will become more clear what he means. |

Bleh say bullshit on rendering/graphics = movies becasue not only of uncanny valley (thats a constantally shifting variable) but the sheers costs.. look at LA Noire, that sold well and had the best facial animation ever seen, yet the studio closed afterwards and that techonlogy has yet to been even hinted at being used again in another game. I'm really hoping for a new Snatcher or Policenauts game and him doing something with adventure games but with a massive KP budget... |

Yeah, I think it's hard to predict where technology will take us in the future, even if it's difficult to imagine now. |

super off topic so in italics; Graphics (as we know them) will never be able to create copies of people (actors) becasue animation and body language is so much more important than how something looks. Games seem so obsessed with graphics that the really important thing AI is over-looked becasue its hard to demo that in a preview or trailer. And as we become more and more adjusted to the improments in rendering and AI the level of which they have to achive to be able to fool us increases and increases almost indefintally. You can see that with rendering now... I had an older relative that didn't watch alot of TV and a few years ago the BBC had a bunch of short rendered animations of animals doing some sort of thing that was about 30secs long that they would use as a screen for between programs (the BBC has no adverts), and I and nearly everyone else could see that it was clearly rendered but my aunt thought it was real and wouldn't belive us when we said it was done with computers. I personally don't even think robots (if we ever accept them in human form (which I dont think we will)) would be able to fool us into thinking they where human. |

But within cutscenes animations and body language can be lifelike (they already are very good in MGS4). This in combination with realistic character models could bring us pretty close to photo realism, I imagine. |
