LolMGS1. Terrible graphics, and controls, horrible, stereotypical voices.

Twin Snakes forever.
B-)

That realization that Nyx is now gonna use me like a cheap whore to translate moon runes since he knows I can read 'em

;_;

But yeah, your post is fine. It just says that, at GDC, he's going to be showing off FOX Engine and how it's used to ''draw'' (i.e. render) different aspects in the trailer they will show. (A trailer made to demonstrate the FOX Engine's capabilities)

I'm really hoping that part of this Fox Engine demonstration happens in Ground Zeroes, I'd kill to see more gameplay of that game

It's a video made solely for tech demo stuff, it probably won't have any gameplay from anything in it. If it does, it'll probably be generic models and stuff like that boy and his dog.

Kojima visited Gamasutra two days ago with a private demo of Ground Zeroes, the playtester posted an article detailing gameplay and plot points but took it down a day later. This is a repost from Neoshit.

>Gamasutra editor uses 360 gamepad
>Demo starts at a Cuban safehouse
>Snake wakes up and leaves, starts tutorial within the boundaries of a beach a la Peace Walker
>As tutorial picks up, an explosion is heard somewhere on the coast and Miller contacts Snake, the voices are not yet recorded into the game
>Chico has been kidnapped and taken to a black site camp in Cuba bordering the U.S.
>MSF secures data on his location and transport Snake to the base of the mountain
>Game offers three choices to the player, including chopper, base dive, base climb
>Gamasutra author picks base climb
>Snake is sporting his renknowned stealth suit with night vision goggles
>The area isn't raining like the debut trailer but rather with a dim sun and a slight pink hue in the clouds
>Real-time climbing of a huge mountainous area
>Rocks crumble and fall, sound is extremely dynamic, press can hear rocks hitting the distant floor beneath them
>Playtester disappointed that Snake uses overly futuristic smartpads for Cold War setting
>When he finally reaches the summit he finds a long highway stip with several guards and fences in front of him
>Snake's movement is reportedly very natural, with precise animations for every tilt of the control stick, natural transitions
>On the advice of Kojima the playertester makes his way to a small weapons cache hidden from the view of the soldiers
>He notes that the room inside has strange dark and green lighting
>Finds several weapons attached to a wall, including assault rifles, tactical pistols, grenades, and even a collection of knives
>Upon firing one of the weapons the playtester receives a Caution alert
>Despite this he makes his way through the base undetected by moving very slow and into the shadows
>At this point Kojima iterates that this is the first console port of the game, being played on an Xbox 360 development kit
>Snake reaches Chico at the end of the demo, the player burns the lock on the bar using a small laser tool
>Chico is ecstatic to see Snake, albeit with no voice acting
>He identifies the man who kidnapped him as "Albatross", calling him the veneno del oeste
>As Snake and Chico leave the pen, they notice that smoke is rising from a valley in the distance
>Demo ends as the editors applaud Kojima for the performance

Smells like Bullshit...
First of all Gamasuta don't post previews or hands-on AFAIK, so its especially weird that Kojima will visit them with a demo, of all gaming websites...Besides Gamasutra is the last site that would mstakingly post something and take it down a day later, one of the most professional gaming websites out there.

Secondly I tried tracking the "NeoShit" thread and didn't find anything about this, the only thing Google led me to was a Pastebin (lol) that contained these tidbits as well as a link to an Old NeoGaf thread that does't contain anything about these info.

...Regardless, climbing as a game mechanic sounds very cool, and I really hope its really in the game.

Derp, you guys.

That entire thing isn't an interview or demo. It's a scenario someone wants. There was an article that had a ''What if'' (from Gamasutra, which was in a Neo thread) that listed some things that the user added to hi ''scenario''.
