Alright, so, I'm sure some of you have heard of Matt and Pat (Two Best Friends Play) And know they are massive Metal Gear heads like us, same for their friend Woolie. Well, it's a bit dated but they have a Let's Watch (lol) of MGS4 where they go through the cutscenes of MGS4 and speak about the game, various aspects of it and even mention things from previous games. It's funny, lewd and other things and I thjink it'd be fun if we all watched it (6 parts total) and discussed what we agree/disagree/think about their views. How about it? I'm sure some of you might say ''Lol I dun has time for dis'' and if so, don't bother posting, please. It's not hard to make time for a 6 hour ordeal, since it doesn't have to take place all at once. And obviously you don't have to watch all 6 parts before starting a discussion, either. So yeah, let's actually do something as a forum, together. sounds liek a good idea, and fucking makes me wish the utube app had an offline mode and you could dl vids from within the app and watch them later so i could watch these at work... but I'll try and get into these when i get time |

Cool, cool. I don't expect people to be posting left and right, just as they find time. 'cause it's not like some of you niggers are curing cancer or anything and don't have free time. :p One thing I agree with is the fact that the way they describe the Beauties and their stories AFTER you defeat them as a mechanci to garner emotion from you, and make you feel bad, was poorly done. |

lol i dun has time for dis wat do i seem like some kind of node to you Him saying the "War has changed" in japanese reminds me of how awesome japanese is. My god I love it sometimes, I mean it can sound really silly and girly but then you have Metal Gear where it sounds fucking badass as fuck I need to somehow get hold of all these games in japanese and play them that way at least once They're hilariously incorrect about the gravelly voice.. lol his voice in MGS3 is way more gravelly in 3 than it was in 2 /imafaggot Edited by Cartman, Oct 21 2012, 09:15 PM.

Shortly after though they talk about how he just used his normal voice for MGS3 Voice in MGS3 is definitely more gravelly than it was in mgs2 |

You're not understanding what he's saying though. David said he used too much of a rasp in 1, and toned it down in 2, and 3 was a normal voice without forced tones (different from 2, more like 1), but in 4 he couldn't do it anymore, so he required smoking and drinking whiskey. And, they aren't wrong, since they are saying exactly what you are. His voice in 3 IS more gravely than in 2... they make that kind of clear. :p Edited by Hoss, Oct 21 2012, 10:29 PM.

I... know. I just said that, because that is also what they said. In 2, David toned his own voice down, that is why it's not as raspy as it is in any other game. Are you reading my posts? >_> He is using his normal voice, considering he's NOT using his normal Snake voice in 2, since he toned it down due to how he felt he overdid it in 1. check my edit, all this confusing shit all over me man Also those 2 clips, notice how much more confident and experienced Solid Snake sound Yepp. dat mgs2 snake can't be topped :3 Now when you say he's using his normal voice do you mean his normal Solid Snake voice? I did check your edits. You're not really... understanding things here. David used his normal Snake voice in 3, but not in 2. That's why there is a difference, I don't need videos of cutscenes, lol. He toned his voice down 2 in, it's that simple. That's why, like you said (and like they said) it's more gravely in 3. I don't see how this can be confusing. >_>Yeah, you're not quite reading... My latest edit did acknowledge this ahh, discussing things through edits, this is some fucking serious shit Anyways we need to end this. I was confused and didn't understand their point to begin with so this whole thing is just one big mess All that said, MGS2's voice doesn't feel drastically toned down at all to me, he just sounds a lot more confident in this game, there's less of that y'know how people end their sentences with that dumb question:y voice, Naked Snake does this a lot (I'm not raggin' on his character I'm just saying he does, SS in 2 is more all-knowing n shit) |

I'm actually excited to see them rant on Johnny, it's a fucking shame that the shitting self thing happens during gameplay and not a cutscene. And yeah, I guess baldie. Don't you factor other things into it tho? I mean arguably the game has some pretty fucking forgettable settings and very lacking in terms of gameplay in 3 fucking acts out of the 5.. I'm not trying to say you're wrong or anything but since this is the seller for you, can't help but think that this would be a major set back. |

No, becasue you take the game as a full package, you dont really break it down into parts, you do that and most games kind of fall apart. The story to me I don't get deep into and I take mostly at face value, I love the world and the setting of the games but dont really get to deep into them. I know to some people thats there jam, but I love playing them, and playing in the world they create. It's what I loved from MGS and to MGS:PW. The depth of story and meaning just gives it a depth and status that validates my own love for it really |
