People who have limbs amputated often times get phantom pains years later, war veterans also have them. This could tie in with the arm, and obviously the person's face since we see him in bandages (around the eyes). If this is indeed Jack, then something has happened that causes him to lose an arm, but that means Kojima has to retcon something, since this has never been mentioned in any game before. The arm is the sole reason I am led to believe this is not even an MGS game, or at least not one involving Jack. Or maybe he just lost the arm in his dream/hallucination. We see weird stuff in the trailer (flaming men, flying whales, unicorns), and the texts constantly imply this is a dream. So it could be just that. That is what phantom pains cause. They can trigger memories (war veterans recall this in documentaries) so what we see in this trailer could be memories that Jack is recalling, while sleeping perhaps, due to his severed arm and, likewise, phantom pains. He has fought Volgin, so he shows up. The Unicorn might be a manifestation of the Joy's horse that Jack has seen, the flowers are inside of a building... but he knows them from the field in which he murdered the Joy in, there are many things here that he has been in contact with, in reality. I mean, white, through the air swirling flower petals with a similar shape that appear out of nowhere. That can't be a coincidence. The flower petals have really become a symbol for Big Boss defeating The Boss, they are even mentioned in the first line of Heavens Divide.

It'd be weird if it was a separate MGS title cause having 2 come out and being worked on at the same time would feel weird, I'd rather they put all focus on one title. The chances of this having no relation at all to Metal Gear seems slim to nothing at this point and considering how huge this all got I think we'd have tweets from Kojima or Konami employees stating that it has nothing to do with the series

Am I the only one noticing a drop in the graphical quality from Ground Zeroes? Might be because this was actual PS3/360 footage and not a PC that is close to them. That... confirms nothing. Not an official confirmation, but it's pretty obvious. I am starting to think this and GZ are in fact the same game, which is MGS5, mainly because I don't think KojiPro can work on that many projects at once. He's been extra cryptic with this game, I don't know what's what anymore.
