Also, the child in the elevator, I was thinking since everyone in this facility is being killed by fire and supernatural shit... it COULD be Mantis, when he attacked and murdered his own village, and maybe Jack was there for it and he's in a clinic in the village? It would make sense. Another thing, the elevator floor lights are ''G'' which is ground level. And the site of an attack is often referred to as Ground Zero. Maybe it's just a tiny thing Kojima did. Some people are also saying this trailer is a collective of all the memories of all the Snakes. It's got Mantis, Volgin/Python/Fury, flowers from where the Joy was murdered, a fellow companion (which can be tied to Decoy/Frank Jeager/etc) among other things that each Snake has come in contact with, being relived via a new clone (so, after MGS4, obviously). Any chance Liquid and solid snake born around this time? not sure of the time line. Maybe someone have found this already but I was having a look at the screenshots of The Phantom Pain and instead of looking at the Snake character for clues, I had a good look at the soliders. The head gear looks the same as the head gear in the Ground Zeros trailer. The indents on the helmet and the headsets/ear covers. What do you think?   Edited by bracken3000, Dec 10 2012, 06:23 PM.

Id wonder if he is just drugged up to his eye's and during some attack on the hospital, he's mind is bring past encounters! Volgin, the horse, maybe the sorrow right at the end or it could all just be a dream like he did in MGS3! |

Another thing is ''From FOX (hound) two Phantoms (Solid and Liquid) were born'' since you know... them being from Jack and Foxhound, and FOX being a precursor to Foxhound and all. |

That actually is never really confirmed. In writing, his early life doesn't exist (since Kojima has not revealed it) but he is from the same product that produced Solid and Liquid within EVA, but not particularly from HER, as she only birthed Solid and Liquid. But, aside from Solid and Liquid, there were other clones, as mentioned in MGS1, when Liquid mentions they were Octuplets (referring to himself, Solid, and the rest of the clones). Only Solid and Liquid came from EVA, every other ''snake'' is a test tube baby. Edited by Hoss, Dec 10 2012, 06:56 PM.

Yeah, good one. I always assumed it would also refer to Big Boss and Zero, who both came from FOX. It probably has multiple meanings. |

Hm, the possibility Phantom Pains is actually a post-MGS4 acid trip is actually rather intriguing. Ground Zeroes would be in actual 70's/80's featuring a bunch of key moments in Big Boss's life, something MGS5: The Acid Trip would refer to a lot in conjunction with what has already been featured in the older games. Heeey, what if we play each Snake in MGS5? Liquid and Solidus too. Through the History Channel-esque acid trip. Do we rike it? I think we rike it. |

Yes, it's the Union Jack. But the map next to it is a map of Rhodesia, it looks like. Which would make a lot of sense. (Frank Jeager being there, Naomi, being in Africa in general which is where Outer Heaven was, etc) Edit: Actually now that I look at it, no that isn't a map of Rhodesia.
