Legendary Mercenary Posts: 1,511 Group: Admins Member #5 Joined: Jan 19, 2012	Just curious fellas, it's been confirmed that MGSV is 25 gb if you get the digital version. People are freaking out because The Witcher 3 uses 31 (which is still a massive game), Arkham Knight is 45, etc. However, I believe this has to do the with the Fox Engine. Perhaps it has the ability to compress files better than all of those other games' engines. Also, there are less cutscenes, so that has to do something with it. I still think this game is going to be absolutely massive, but you know how the internet is. They're fearing that the game will be much smaller than we've been led to believe. This is clearly the largest MGS game to date and uses less GB than MGS4. The Fox Engine clearly allows programmers to optimize and compress files better than past engines. Also with most of the game being focused on one large map, I imagine that helps a lot with texture files etc... Idk 25gb still seems massive to me

I'm still curious why she has to wear so little as her clothing dosnt seem to affect her stealth camo Magic shit at all (you'd assume if she can turn invisible but can't change her clothes, you would see a floating bikini and ripped tights but no...) I think it would be interesting for BB to have a love interest, give him another dimension... But idk Also, I keep thinking, isn't Zanzibar Land a land locked country? So if this pre-dates the events of MG, dosnt Mother Base have to get destroyed, again? But just thinking out loud, Ocelot isn't in MG 1 and 2, so it makes sense for them to break away from each other before the end of the game. Also BB ain't so chatty sans David Hater so maybe the new BB finds solis with someone else who ain't so chatty, as opposed to Ocelot who can never shut the fuck up. That would allow Quiet to be more than a side-plot, since those who can die outside set plot scenes cannot have a considerable part in the main plot. Kojima said there's a good reason for Quiet being all scantily clad, they just haven't given details for it. Maybe she needs sunlight directly to her skin? Though that would bar night missions and I believe they also said you can dress your buddies in alternative outfits. I doubt her design is sheer fanservice in any case, though yeah, those tits are distracting. I'll probably dress her up in a proper uniform like a prude. I don't want Quiet to be a love interest though. BB already had EVA and whatever the nature of his relationship with The Boss was, and I generally don't find love plots that interesting these days unless they are the main thing.

Little more than a month away... Got my PS4 and CE pre-ordered at game, might have to see if they are doing a midnight opening thing for it a-la-Destiny so I don't have to fuck around waiting for the postman. But fuck, I'm so hyped. Been replaying and watching the previous games and nothing comes close to the tone of V. I'm so curious about the story, playing in the open world and getting to build my own mother base again, but with more hands on managing. Shit. I'm also super hoping ma babe Adbro comes through and hooks me up with that Jap CE, it fucking sucks PlayAsian won't ship to EU

This is the same guy that constantly bashed PW. This game is pretty much PW perfected and expanded drastically. Fulton recovery, recruiting & building mother base, placing soldiers in different departments, going to certain missions via helicopter, side-ops, cassette tapes, load-out menu before every mission. Everything that made PW awesome is in MGSV, except no co-op this time. Now of course, this game is going to be on a scale that we've never witnessed for MGS. I just remember Cartman couldn't stand all of that about PW, and now he's praising it for MGSV. The logic of Cartman. And GYE, I believe we will see another destruction of Mother Base, perhaps caused by BB this time. We already see him killing his own men in the last 2 trailers. Outer Heaven is a landlocked base, so this new mother base is going to have to go down as well and I'm so pumped for that.
