Been watching the last trailer (the New Order one) over and over, the start of that video see's a metal facility with the DD logo on it coated in blood and bodies with BB walking through it, is this a scene from the destruction of Mother Base, of BB killing everyone on board to start over in Africa with only a select few? At the end of the trailer he is in a locker room, coated in blood and in the background you can hear gunfire, the same battle going on? #cartmanlevelsofhype |

I believe so, Gye. Watching it gets me to an unreal amount of hype. Also, everyone be careful of how much you tread around the internet for MGSV news. Apparently there is some dude who received MGSV already and is posting huge spoilers. Similar to how before MGS4 released, there was someone who received the game early and was posting about how Big Boss appears at the end of the game. It's a shame people are mostly the worst pieces of shit in the world, but cheers for the heads up. Tbh the only places I go for MGS news and banter is here and r/metalgearsolid and that sub has a no spoiler mode that you can use without having to even see possible spoilers which is great. And yeah Solid, that trailer I think is almost entirely made up of BB burning Mother Base to the ground and starting a new. Though the more I watch it and think about that possibility the harder BB becomes to reconcile with his MGS4 appearance and personality... But I can't help but ignore most of MGS4 due to how I really think that whole project was a big FUCK YOU to the people who sent Kojima death threats and shit over MGS2 and 3.... Wonder if spoilers become an issue for other sites and forums maybe it would be worth closing sign ups for this place in the weeks leading up to the launch Edited by baldgye, Jul 25 2015, 06:36 PM.

I have the weirdest love/hate relationship with MGS4. It is a good game, but at the same time almost a terrible MGS game. Like you said, it's a big fuck you to those who forced him to make this game and tie everything up. There are parts I absolutely love about MGS4, parts where you can tell Kojima really took his time on (Snake's monologue at the grave site, the microwave scene, the bike chase) Then there are parts where he just said fuck you guys, because I can, story-wise. (BB at the end, Nanomachines thrown down our throats, the fan service) I'm just so ready to play this game and see the descent of BB. The mass carnage that is going to take place towards the end of the story. I love that there is going to be a sense of horror in this game as well, some classic Kojima. I personally think he begins to kill his own men and destroy MB when he figures out Kaz has been partnering up with Cipher this whole time (secret tape in PW revealing this for those who haven't played it, and no I'm not putting up a spoiler warning because if you haven't played PW at this point that is your fault because the game is 5 years old) "You" meaning the MGS community who hasn't fully completed PW. I know you have, Gye. I'm not opposed to that idea, Gye. You never know when someone might read those spoilers and decides to come to our forum or every MGS forum for that matter to spoil the game for everyone. Thoughts, Scotia? From my experience with MGS4 and Red Dead, once spoilers get out there and they might be true, children flock to the forums making new accounts simply to post new topics with the spoiler as the title and flood forums with spoilers. I know General Gaming had this problem a lot on GT and I've seen other forums have similar issues. But yeah I agree with you Solid, I think the Acid trailer for MGSV shows a scene with BB and Kaz with there backs to each other but still glancing at each other while walking in opposite directions, I think that could be the start of that breakdown, like you said. I've been at the beach all day pretty much only thinking about MGSV, trying to temper my hype and excitement. But even if BB is a total mute, even if the story is told by others and BB seems to be more of a piece than the leader of this new movement etc this is the essentially the HD remake of PW in terms of gameplay. It takes all those ideas and concepts and timeses them by 100. I only hope that they have also tweaked the grinding requirements as PW's grinding was insane. I killed about 20 of those dragon things, beat all of them bar the last and never harvested a single item from them, and you needed several of those items to even be allowed to craft the best items only after you had levelled up your RnD department to insane levels... But the best thing and most exciting thing about MGSV is that it's the last MGS game to be made. |

Holy fuck yes. It's honestly a great feeling. To FINALLY have closure! Like I've said in the past, the best part about it being his final game, you can tell it could very well be his masterpiece. The amount of work, detail, passion, and ambition in this title is unlike anything we've seen from him. Also, I know it seems like BB doesn't talk much in this game, but I also believe that we've purposely been shown gameplay or scenes where he never talks and it's all facial expressions. I really think that BB will talk plenty in this game, they don't want to give away too much of Kiefer's true debut. Although, Kiefer did have lines in GZ in game and in the tapes, that was a very small taste. I think he's going to do a terrific job and he'll have more lines than everyone thinks he's going to have. I will say, in the latest trailer, the motion capture is so dope. Big Boss's facial expressions are really awesome and you can tell the emotion of the scene just by his face. Has anyone read the spoilers? Just a yes or no please. No need to explain further. Well, I ended up clicking something on twitter that took me to those spoilers. No need to worry, fellas. Perhaps some of the worst fan fiction I've read to date. So, no spoilers anyway. Seriously go to mgsforums, it's in there and it's hilarious how stupid it is that everything this guy is saying.
