I don't know that voice actor. But he does sound like Ocelot, so I'm fine with it.
Troy Baker. Joel in TLOU, Booker in BioShock Infinite, Vincent in Catherine, Joker in the new Batman, and now Ocelot. Like Mat said, he's everywhere. :P
Didn't play any of those games. There are other voice actors I do notice in a lot of games. Of course Nolan North, but also Jennifer Hale and Robin Atkin-Downes.

They're aiming for 60 FPS with the next gen versions

Nice, but so jelly if I'm stuck with the ps3 version, I seriously wonder how far off it is from release, didn't sound that they had even begun working on the next generation versions of the game

Once we start going into development for next-generation we're definitely looking for something better than [what] we have shown today," he said. Kojima added that the developer is aiming for a 60 frames per second refresh rate and a higher resolution for the game's Xbox One and PlayStation 4 releases.

There is no fucking way the gameplay shown at e3 is running on current console hardware.

If you believe that, and think what we saw was on current gen, then oh boy...

I was thinking the same thing. It just looks too good.

I'm going to call out a miss-translation. Kojima Productions... the guys who gave the PS3 a game worth buying a console over are going to have had PS4 dev kits since it was first theorized at Sony...

If that's not running off Dev kits, it's running on PC's almost identical in hardware terms to both the Xbone and PS4... becasue there spec's have been pretty public for months

I'm only posting what Kojima himself have apparently said and was just talking about development for the next gen versions, haven't said shit about what I think or don't think is possible on current gen systems

You said it sounds like they haven't begun to work on the next gen versions, which implies you think what we've seen currently, is on current hardware. There's just no chance that's possible, as much as I want it to be.

No need to start getting uppity now. (''I haven't said shit...'')

what we have seen isn't on current gen hardware, everything we've seen so far has run off a PC, after every trailer Kojima Productions has gone out and said they're using a PC with current gen as a guideline of sorts

That obviously means they can touch it up

You're making an awful lot of assumptions on shitty "implications" And I said it because fucking Kojima said it, how thick are you? With knowledge of the fact that we've only seen PC versions of the game so far I think it's perfectly plausible that they haven't started next gen development because they can crank shit up at their own will on these pc versions for the trailers, doesn't mean next gen has to be involved, Scotia

oh so these computers they're using couldn't possibly crank the visuals up, they can literally do nothing but optimization for current generation systems?

Ok, so this is how it goes... Xbone and PS4 are basically PC's but there is a key diffrence and that's the CPU. While it uses PC architecture it's not a PC CPU. On top of that the way it processes and handles graphics will be different and the way the game is compiled will probably be different to the simulations they have done on the mock-hardware.
Then there is the bug fixing, which on a game like this... would take months. You simply cannot dumb code designed for one system and slap it on another less flexible system and hope it to work so you can busy your self making it look better.

Then you have to account for the 'low res' ports they are going to have to work on for 360 and PS3, which will probably be even harder.

What you saw will be the result of KP making a game on a system that is similar to the xbone and PS4 but would allow them to down scale for the current gen systems. When they port it up sure they can bump the frame-rate etc but chances are it's not going to look any better, becasue why would it?

No what we saw is a game that is running on a very adaptable engine, made with next gen in mind from the get go, and that is the very same reason they're able to crank out more from these PC versions of the game (Kojima has previously talked about next gen only features being supported like tessellation, this is them preparing their engine for the next generation, not developing with that target in mind)

The game has been in development for a very long time now, you remember that first fox engine screen? when was that, like 2011?

They haven't had access to development kits for most of the development of this game, what they've been working on is making a game that runs on current generation platforms, as Kojima himself said, but they're doing this on an engine that fully supports this upcoming generation

But it's just trash lost in translation ...

Dunno if it's been mentioned, but snakes watch is the one Kojima was tweeting about the other day.
The watch Kojima used to always wear back in the day.
Nice personal touch.

This has probably already mentioned, and I've probably already read it and forgottten I had.

Since supposely these next gen consoles are some what Pc's can't they add mods?
I mean Unreal Tournament 3 had mods on PS3, what makes PC gaming so relavent now a days? Better graphics?

Kojima said MGSV will look better than the E3 trailer, I haven't seen anything on PC that good and they are still calling these next gen consoles PC's from 2007.

Can someone clarify this for me?

Good job reading my post, bucko.

You of all people shouldn't be asking about someone's thickheadedness, bro. And they can touch what up? Visuals, from what we've already seen? The PC's they run this on are spec'd nearly the same as the consoles we're getting next gen, but it won't look like that regardless, even if they touch it up. Which is my point. Even Pete knows this. No assumptions are being made, boyo.

It's an adaptive engine... but it still has to be adapted... and this game has no date and no console version of the game (be it 360 or xbone) has been shown... even if it's a 2014 game (which it will be) I can't see;

1. the PS3/360 version looking anything close to that
2. the next gen version looking much better
