Yeah I know, I mean as an introduction, he never went out a said "Hi I am Frank Jaeger". What was he doing in Mozambique, I don't recall that, I recall him fighting while he was a child there right? not in the 80's Not quite, I mean maybe they needed the DNA IDK...... No, in the 80's, especially by MGSV's time, he is well in his 30's. He was in Mozambique during the civil war, fighting for the RENAMO before he was captured and tortured. (This is how he gets his nose and ears cut off) |

There are a lot more theory's on the trailer as good or better(Ishmael having the same voice as BB, Snake on the newest trailer having green eyes, Ishmael saying "on your feet solider" like the comic,). Ok how did Grey Fox become Big Bosses most trusted Lieutenant and the only to be giving the name Fox? it's already the 80's a big unexplained part of the saga. I am going to take a big guess and say Ishmael is Grey Fox. In the GDC video when miller says "what about him?" remember Big boss saved GFox in the 70's, maybe he saved him before the attack on MSF or else that part in the saga was a lie, BB missed most of the 70's. Personally when I saw Big Boss tell Ishmael "who are you?" You can see the disappointment on Ishmael's face, maybe he is sad that he doesn't recognize his voice and invents a name so BB stays focus and not trying to remember. |

While I don't think in these trailers we are being fooled, i think maybe we will not be playing as BB the whole game ("big surprise" à lá MGS2). Since the game will be about "revenge" and in the three trailers we haven't seen any of the revenge part yet, maybe, just maybe, in this game we will use other soldiers like this Ishmael/Gray Fox guy, but, differently from the PW soldier selection, the options we make will have bigger impact in gameplay (BB will be better in infiltration, GF better in combat, etc etc) |

What do you mean no revenge in the trailers? The E3 trailer was all about revenge, mainly from Kaz's side. |

I mean the action has not yet started, we can only see Mother Base being bombed, BB waking from the coma and rescuing Kaz. After Kaz's rescue we know they will rebuild their forces and strike Cypher for good, but we have not seen any of it (gameplay wise) yet, just the interrogations and such. |

I really doubt that Ishmael is Frank. The guy only showed up at the hospital, the car crashes and there's no sign of him, BB and Ocelot escape and still no Ishmael to be seen. Maybe they've parted ways before Ocelot appears but I don't think that's it. As some already said, I believe it's some kind of subconscious shit guiding BB through the hospital incident. |
