Because she is the biggest badass in the saga, without her Big Boss wouldn't happen. She never broke even when she was going to die, She was the most human of all the characters and the only one that fought for the greater good. The inner message was to me why I like her the best(seeing her trying to end war and did what was nessicary to end it), seeing Big Boss and Zero trying to follow her philosophy only to realize all she wanted was peace and these guys are doing the opposite. Every character in the MGS saga could be consider a criminal, The Boss? I don't think so. Her Story is well-made, Big Boss's story is so so(where did he come from? Why is he fighting? OneEyed - 1 Cartman - 0 Anyway, am I the only one that is a bit... conflicted about what has happened to Miller recently? He is this huge survival expert, master even. He even tells Snake (not during MGS1 mind you) how to never be captured during a mission, and yet... this guy gets caught. Strikes me as odd, lol. Also, I am curious why no one has even so much as asked ''Who?'' when those 3 soldiers appear in the dust, and run towards the camera like the FROGs do, in MGS4. They are bald, and have numbers tattooed on their foreheads, also they have blind eyes and are in suits similar to Tengu soldiers. (I noticed they look a bit like Sundowner) |

At least in my opinion that is what makes her less interesting, I wouldn't use the word criminal to describe other characters in the universe, but perhaps flawed people or morally ambiguous ones and the fact that this isn't there with The Boss just makes her less interesting to me, a flawless character isn't as interesting as the flawed one with some struggles That said not everybody has to be that way of course and changing it up isn't bad, just didn't fly enough with me to make her a top tier character Another thing I find odd is I thought Miller would part ways with Boss and later in life consider the guy some monster, but here he seems to be initiating going on this crazed revenge binge and seems to be taking an even bigger step towards becoming one of the bad guys Of course we haven't played yet so way too early to make any calls but it seems like he's leading this revenge train, if anything you'd think BB would be the one going way too far with this and that causes them to split ways But we know very little so that may very well be the case, just something I thought of when watching the trailer Edited by Cartman, Jun 18 2013, 03:44 AM.

Yeah, I am not too sure what to think in way of how they are portraying Miller atm. He seems every bit as bad as BB, for the time being, sans child murders. Which bothers me because he was never like this. I'm hoping Kojima didn't retcon their falling out just to flesh out Miller more than he has been.
