Anyway, am I the only one that is a bit... conflicted about what has happened to Miller recently? He is this huge survival expert, master even. He even tells Snake (not during MGS1 mind you) how to never be captured during a mission, and yet... this guy gets caught. Strikes me as odd, lol. Also, I am curious why no one has even so much as asked ''Who?'' when those 3 soldiers appear in the dust, and run towards the camera like the FROGs do, in MGS4. They are bald, and have numbers tattooed on their foreheads, also they have blind eyes and are in suits similar to Tengu soldiers. (I noticed they look a bit like Sundowner)
Yeah, my guess is they are maybe early results of the genome army experiments, hence the barcodes

I don't know if you guys noticed, but before the young mantis appearance in the last trailer, there's a shot in the sand storm with these soldiers (i think it's them, can't say for sure because of the sand) walking like puppets or zombies, don't know and then, blam, young psycho mantis with the "those who doesn't exist". So, i THINK this guys are mind controlled by mantis (maybe they are already dead?? are they just vessels? don't know)

Who's to say it's Mantis? Sure, it's likely, but we don't know yet.

And yeah, I noticed them, 'tis why I mentioned them in the post you quoted. :p

He does lose an arm and a leg, maybe that's how he found out you should never get caught

On The Boss discussion: I actually never felt she was perfect. or flawless. The fact that she is 100% loyal to her country is something you can see as either good or bad. It's almost like a blind loyalty in a way, she gets used time and time again just because she stays loyal to her country, where other characters (like Big Boss even) follow their own ideals after being betrayed.

And about Miller, I don't know much about him other than what Snake says in MGS1, so I'm not too bothered. I always saw him as morally ambiguous in MGS PW too, where he essentially wanted to make money from wars. Snake was in it for ideals, Miller for money.

Alright you shwoogs, time to watch the trailer in 720p, 60FPS.

''There's a pretty good reason why you don't see more 60Ffps video on the internet - and it's specifically down to the fact that existing PC playback technologies appear to have real issues maintaining frame-rate. In our tests, Google Chrome is the best choice for streaming playback, while hardware decoding from iOS devices also comes up trumps. For those who'd prefer an offline download option for watching on console, you're sorted there too.''

I suggest you let the video load entirely before playing it.

It's really so nice to see things in 60fps... it's one thing I wish my PC was better for... as sc2 its not so much the jump of 30-60fps but 60-110fps ...like it sounds silly but the visible difference is amazing... shame blizz's engines are on the whole shit
yeah that looks really amazing.

One thing I will say, I think Peace Walker will be probably the best thing that has happened to the MGS series.
I say that from a pure gameplay point of view. I love fucking love MGS3 and 4... but you can see that both games where trying to balance the CQC/Stealth and combat systems the games had in order for you to be able to plan your attack and how you moved through that world. But with PW they had to do all that with less buttons (no R2 and L2) and with only one stick using the face buttons to move the camera, so they had to work out how to make it play like MGS4 with half the buttons.

Playing PW on the PS3 and you realise how many buttons simply do nothing... if they are able to leverage this and evolve the CQC and movement sets thanks to the refinement in controls (thanks to PW) this really could be the best ever MGS experience.
Also, I wonder if Miller has (or we will learn) that he has an eye condition that makes his eyes really sensitive to light and thus he has to wear sunglasses all the time... becasue you see when Snake rescues him, before he has his glasses on, he has his eyes closed and then opens them when Snake gives them to him.... if he was blind he would just have his eyes open and closed fairly randomly (from observing several blind people I've come across) and he'd also be looking all over the place, yet in that trailer you can see he is fixed on Snake.

Not all blind people look all over like that. Plus, blind people are very aware of what is going on around them, they are able to tell where sounds come from, more than people who aren't blind, simply because they learn to adapt to that situation (not having sight). He is most likely fixing his face in the direction of Big Boss's voice simply because he can hear the direction his voice is coming from.

Also, a lot of blind people keep their eyes closed because there is simply no reason to keep them open, and it helps make everything BLACK. Blind people still see light, to a degree (sure it was dark in the room but they do this via preference) much like we see light when our eyes are closed. (hold a flashlight up to your eye, while it is closed, it appears red, this is the same thing they see, but to a much, MUCH lesser degree. (Though, not all blind people are like this)

I feel he is blind simply because it's obvious he had something done to his eyes, if you look around his eyes they are bruised, and bloody/red from certain things, possibly torture.

As for why he is always wearing his fuckin' glasses, he might have Photophobia.

Yeah that's all fair, but I think if he was blind there would be more tell tale signs... and I meant that when Snake gives him his glasses you can see his eyes looking at Snake, with glasses on, even people who could see wouldn't really need to look at Snake so if he was blind I don't think it makes sense to render that...

...but yeah it does look like shit had been done to his eyes, though that could also be bruising... but yeah just an idea I know there is a famous footballer who has to wear what look like diving goggles becasue his eyes are all fucked, but he can still see

Well you could see it as 100% loyal to her country, I see it as trying to keep Peace throughout the world.

Big Boss has blindly gone through his missions(Like The Boss?)or am I wrong? The Boss knows why she is doing what she's doing, Big boss figures it out as he goes.

If he knew The Boss's theory do you think he would of pulled the trigger?

In Peace Walker did Big Boss was crying trying to find out what The Boss wanted, building an army for pretty much his own interest, trying to prove a point.

I love Big Bosses philosophy a lot. But to me The Boss was a better made character, see it like this in my eyes I like batman(Big Boss) more than The Joker(The Boss) but the joker is a better made character with deeper story and an amazing philosophy.

The Boss being the daughter of the philosophers, being the mother of the special forces Ect Ect. After hearing so much good stuff about The Boss in MGS3 her hard attitude, the way she keeps defeating you, leading to that breath taking moment when you are just about to fight her. The Boss's character building was like no others IMO.

Typing very fast on my IPhone at work, might have a lot of mistakes :/

Lol not to that degree.

I was referring to how her character is more better build than the protagonist, although the protagonist is more like able.

Big Boss was loyal to his country until the events of MGS3. After that he decided to fight for his own goals and ideals. The Boss let herself be used time and time again, knowingly, but still.
