Please tell me someone has seen that trailer analysis for MGSV, saying that the main character isn't Big Boss. It's either Gray Fox or "Vapor" Snake... lol. |

Inorite? I mean, fair enough, he's giving props to other devs. That's not a first. Though MGSV will be next gen, and the closest GTAV has at that is, well, being announced for next-gen, but I think at this point we're all expecting it to make it's way to PC at some point. And it's really give and take, isn't it? Grand Theft Auto may have a world brimming with opportunity, but controls have never been as comprehensive or as impressive IMO compared to Metal Gear Solid. And these days Saints Row is doing "GTA" better than GTA games. Not that I don't think GTAV will be great - I like the direction they took with IV, and RDR afterwards. I dunno. Probably best not to read into it too much. |

Saints Row tries so hard it's not even fun. And sure, GTAIV wasn't as fun as VC or SA but people forget it's role was similar to III, it laid the foundations for RDR and now GTA V. |

Not accurate. GTA4 was and still is an amazing game. People seem to give it a hard time now becasue they forget just how amazing it was, I've finished it 3 times (the story mode) that's more times than I've finished any other GTA. It's just a better experience playing through the game, and it dsnt have lots of fucking frustrating shoot the tiny thing with this shitty turret missions. Add in tBoGT and LaD and you have a pretty amazing product. Saints Row takes a diffrent tact in that instead of bringing you this 'real' world it gives you this insane planet of nonsense and says "have fun!". GTA5 will simply be a deeper more mature product than 4 becasue it's building off it. |

I disagree. Saints Row doesn't try at all, it just does. It never tried to be GTA, as a whole, it set out to be what GTA used to be, i.e. fun. And it then took it to 11. It plops you into a city, with ridiculous characters, and weapons to boot, and basically says ''Here you go, do whatever you want.'' GTA used to do this, to a degree. It was, and still is, very ''by the books'' in terms of what it WANTS you to do, as opposed to what it ALLOWS you to do. Saints Row, however, doesn't care. It doesn't take itself seriously, knows it's dumb and ludicrous, and just has fun with it like it should. GTA and Saints Row may be open world, but they are very different games. |

I didn't mean SR was trying to be GTA, far from it, and I understand they're completely different products but to me, the way SR aims to be really over the top all the time, gets old real quick. |
