im not surprised this game sounds like its one big project so there are bound to be major issues with building a demo. and they dont want the demo to be shitty as well. i hope they remedy this. i am honestly ok with him ending the demo early. but time will tell. |

What I could hear from today's presentation to the journalists : Game was running on laptop, specs equal to current gen consoles. Tomorrow presentation is indeed dedicated to next gen introduction. It seems clear now that GZ and PP are two different games, (it reminds of MGS2) but given how they are different, they could be two different games like one, GZ being the prologue obviously. Sutherland replaced Hayter in this demo (it's the same part of the game we saw a while ago "ket you waiting uh?"). Harry gregson is back. You can slow time close to an ennemy, it seems there's then a QTE which gives you the choice to kill/interrogate/stun. You can slow time when spotted by behind, it's very short, needs skillzzzzz to score a headshot and get rid off opponent. According to Kojima, this doesn't make the game any easier, you have no radar anymore, if you get spotted, it will be near to impossible to go gun blazing (I think he refers to MGS3 and 4). Menus don't stop time. Depending of the places, people will speak different languages. You can mark ennemies from far away, it seems the gameplay has been modernized, if not westernized. That's all I heard for now ! |

The Marking system sounds similar to Far Cry 3, you can even see enemies through walls after tagging them (They flash each 2-3 seconds according to one of the previews) Kind of similar to the SOP effect in MGS4/MGO2. The only thing I was worried about was the slo-mo mechanic before being discovered, but according to Diamond Dog its very short, so you won't get to take your time aiming for headshots. Alert phase so far works like this: 1) If you are spotted it goes Slo-mo for a bit. You need to kill the enemy silently or alarm will start. (If you are spotted by multiple enemies you basically need to kill them fast or things will go very bad for you) 2) you can't hide in slo-mo because enemies saw you already, so basically your only choice is to do something with that guy. Neat mechanic but depends really on the gameplay. I think the only reason Kojima did this is because Phantom Pain is very big and there are a lot of things in the world that can spot you so slo-mo is a small chance to do something fast. 3) The threat meter returns and you can see it against the screen. So it is possible to go stealth when guard is trying to spot you. and Hello everyone.

Let's talk about this. How do you feel about that piece of news? Personally I don't want that. I want my MGSV to include Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain. It does not make sense to release 2 separate games, although from a business perspective maybe it is a smart thing to do. My problem is that these games look too similar to each other + we already know the relationship between Zero and Snake and what will happen by the end of Ground Zeroes (9 year coma and blah blah blah). |

I literally don't care at all. I think it might be better if they are two separate games. Then maybe GZ's might get the full attention and resources it deserves gets put out a year or so before PP and KP get feedback, money and time to work and perfect on MGSV proper... just an idea though |
