I am, but the main appeal of the series for me has always been the story. That's not to say I don't enjoy the gameplay, though.

and btw. I don't understand why people don't talk about this fantastic thing. It is probably the best thing right now.

The fact that it is open world and enemies will not disappear after they were knocked out is amazing. This is a very hard thing to do because it requires a lot of memory on consoles. A lot of games don't do this even with linear concept and MGS does this with open-world environment. I'm impressed. That says that you need to plan a lot and hide enemy bodies all the time or the consequences will be huge.

It looks fine by MGS gameplay standards. Enough to fool around and try stuff like I always have.

Which is why it won't happen. They say it happens now, but I guarantee once it comes out, that won't be the case.

Actually nope. The demo already showed us that enemies won't disappear. In the first demo Big Boss knocked off two guards and after that he hid them in the grass. By the end of the demo player showed us iDroid where you could see the map from the satellite view and these 2 "marked" guards were still in the grass.
That is amazing. In fact I watched 2 demo's multiple times and saw a lot of interesting tiny little details which makes this game a complex stealth game that surpasses every Metal Gear out there.

You make it sound like the demo was hours and hours and hours long... I'm not gonna sit and talk to someone who instantly shoots down anything with ''Actually nope.'' as if they've come in contact with the final version of the game. I'm speaking strictly on terms of how games have been... forever. You're speaking on terms of things you've been told by a company trying to sell a product.

If it's running on current consoles, bodies will disappear eventually. No games currently keep bodies on the map at all times, and most certainly no open world games, so MGSV/PP isn't going to be an exception. But you can believe that PR if you want.

Scotia do you think it's possible for these bodies to stay in the PS4 version?

Perhaps. It's better hardware, for one, and the newer consoles are closer to PCs than consoles are currently (memory management, processing and tasks, etc.)

Yeah, it would be nice if they implemented these kinds of things in the next gen versions if possible. Although Kojima said there wouldn't really be differences on the gameplay front.

Dear Scotia, I don't believe in "that" PR. I'm just talking about what I saw.

+ it does not matter how much hours or minutes the demo was. To understand how the system works with memory and bodies you need to understand how Random Access-Memory actually works first of all. Kojima showed us that it is possible for a mission to have bodies that don't disappear. That is enough.

Not true at all. There are some games that keep bodies in current gen games (Deus Ex:HR for example). It depends on the scale of the game. It is enough to keep bodies for some time for that mission. Also, I don't expect to keep bodies on the map all the time in the open-world game. It is impossible to do for many reasons but for a mission... Why not?

Actually, bodies in DE:HR disappear eventually, as well, if you wait around long enough. And I know how RAM works, very much so.

You're skipping over a keyword I'm using. ''Eventually''. And for someone who doesn't ''believe'' in that PR, you sure are being stone footed about not accepting that there's a possibility things but change, and or not be exactly as we're told. Even on a single mission, if there is a high enough body count going on, the game will do something to reduce processing and RAM usage, it's either going to be utilizing a huge LOD pit, or it's going to take models away from the world to free up memory. it's as simple as that. This becomes more apparent in games that are utilizing processor and RAM heavy visuals as well, like MGSV is.

Regardless, keep on keepin' on, bro... have a good one.

Scotia, but that was not PR really. That was just a demo of the game. It's not like Kojima or someone tried to show us bullshit images. You could clearly see for example that in the first demo there were issues with bodies or cinematic stuff. 2 demo's were not perfect.

Even the second demo had issues with graphics. At least I saw issues with shadows when Big Boss was on the Jeep.

you said that you disliked the demo. Can you tell us more about the stuff you hated in it?

PR is the act of instilling an idea into one's head, for a product, bro. I've done enough work in the game industry to know how PR goes, lol. Talking about features of a game and how they are ''big'' things, is the very definition of PR... I'm talking about how they are making the bodies aspect out to be a big thing.

And I didn't watch the demo, I'm talking about the game as a whole, the more and more I read about its features. I don't hate it, I dislike where the franchise is going.

Scotia i 100% agree with you're point. i do sense the steps as well and personally im fine with it as long as i get a sense of fun and challenge. but at the same time you might lose the original taste of what made the series great..... am i right? idk man......

Yeah, as long as it's not a rant about the tech... Pretty sure at some point they said the last two demos were on the ps4 (and xbone) hardware so bodies not dissapearing would be possible but then again the map area didn't seem to be all that big and just a larger map than pervious MGS games (in the GZ section at least)
