Yeah but it also says "The boxed PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions will retail at £29.99, while the digital versions will retail for £19.99." When it says digital, i'm quite sure it means off PSN / XBL |

This has brought up a difficult decision. I wanted to move completely to digital with the PS4, but I have all the Metal Gears in their cases. :/ I'm not much of a collector but Metal Gear is different. Also, is Ground Zeroes only the stage that was shown at TGS? Because it doesn't look like £30 worth to me. This stuff about helping the player get used to open world mechanics, total bull crap. Like Open world gameplay is that massive a change, I'm sure most of us has played GTA. It just seems like an excuse to fracture the game and increase revenue. Oh well, I'm a sucker and I'll get it anyway. I would be happy to have that Ground Zeroes case. |

A lot of disposable income for something that appears to be a demo. Doesn't rock my financial boat, but principle proposes I should wait closer to Phantom Pain's release to see if they put it on sale. Or even better, release it on disk with PP. I'm guessing there'll be a discount for PP for anyone who bought GZ, but that can only be for the digital version, right? I'm getting mine boxed as always. |

One game isn't a trend. I bought GT5 Prolouge but I didn't get a fucking discount on GT5 did I? Why should you get a discount? If you don't think GZ's is worth £30 then don't fucking buy it. Though if that is the way your thinking I'd like to know how you came to that conclusion. Every time Kojima or Konami do something slight diffrent with Metal Gear idiots throw piss-fits.... That's kind of an overreaction to what I said. The discount scheme as how I described it wasn't a thing back when GT5 was a thing. With PS3 -> PS4 having it and Deus Ex having it too, I'm going on a limb and predicting becoming a trend now. Long or short, I don't know. With GZ -> PP it's a possibility. Nowhere did I say there will be a discount or that I should get a discount, I'm merely predicting there might be a discount. What we know is that PP is, with the scale of the world and things you can do, 300 times larger than GZ. PP is a fully fledged game so what is something that's 300 times smaller? A demo. Hideo might've meant what he said, about GZ being essential training wheels for us to appreciate PP more, but I just don't see how it's different from a demo. Even if it passes for pre-release DLC, £30 for it is ridiculous. It's so ridiculous that I predict they will give anyone who bought it a discount on PP's digital purchase. If they don't then they don't. As you proposed, I won't fucking buy GZ for £30. So am I barred from criticizing their pricing? I think not. That last bit about piss-fits... Aren't you being too sensitive? It's just criticism for pricing, not for Kojima trying something different like he did with Revengeance. |

Am I right that they are having the same recruiting and development system in MGSV as PW? If so, I'm wondering if it will be in GZ if it is only a intro to TPP and will it carry over your base/squad/weapons stats even if the story throws the game 10 years forward in TPP. |

The reason it happened with Deus Ex is because the Poole making it fucked it up and are fixing the broken boss fights in the new version, seriously if your going to use something as an example, use something you even have the slightet fucking clue about. Then you make assumptions about a game we still know almost nothing other than it's going to be large, there for anything smaller MUST FACTUALY be a DEMO. Yeah maybe I am a little sensitive but I am because I'm a fan and it pisses me off more than anything when clueless idiots spout total shit about something they know nothing about, it's for exactaly that reason that the MGSF is such a shit hole. From what I've heard and read GZ's follows on from PW and documents the events leading upto the start of TPP where snake wakes up from a coma. So GZ's will probaly document how mother base was destroyed, meaning that you'll have to rebuild it in TPP. I sure am and he has yet to put out a bad game, Portable Ops being the closest to a bad MGS game that he's made and that's mostly due to the cuteral diffrences in controls for portable games. |
