Hey man, your allowed to be an MGS fanboy here, is part of the point for the forum... but you can't make random bullshit up, call it educated and then try and claim some high ground when you get your ass called out. |

I BOUGHT THIS I GET A DISCOUNT! RAWR! So dumb, also, you make it sound like GZ is gonna be small, from the sounds of things it's going to be quite big, $40 is not that much money, if you're a gamer. Riiiight... Gye only tackled the Deus Ex point. The PS3->PS4 upgrade discount system is more notable of the two anyway. Four well-known games are getting the treatment first, one expects more to follow. Also, Sony is letting third party publishers themselves decide the pricing for their games, so it's not just one company in the industry to have a hand in it. It may tone down after the current+next gen publishing becomes just next gen, but for the moment it lasts it warrants consideration. Combined with Deus Ex's discount for the new version for everyone who already owned the old one, I think I based my argument well enough. It wasn't random nonsense. Educated in this part meant I had stuff to back my guesswork with. (Source) I am a fan of MGS, but not a fanatic like you guys. I look at all games with critique's eye and call stuff out when I see them. It's true we don't yet know how much stuff GZ has for the £30 it asks for it, but come on.. PP is going to be around £60 and Kojima said it's 300 times larger when you account everything. With that data in mind, how can GZ possibly be big enough for £30 DLC? It would be awesome if it is, because by result PP would be crazy huge. But compare it to DLC campaigns from other games, e.g. Ballad of Gay Tony was about 20$ and it was, what, 3rd the size of GTA4? It re-used GTA4's areas, but otherwise changed everything. I trust Kojima to have an honest reason to make GZ into its own entity, but the £30 price tag is greedy and likely decided by some suit. If they don't lower it by PP's release date, I'll cough up the dough. I want the complete experience as I am a fan. Now, lastly, what's with the attitude? Can't you guys argue in a polite way, using facts and sources to sell your argument for you? You went personal, lashed out, hurled insults. You pissed me off, and as I was at work at the time I decided to drop it. Just took a moment to write my thoughts on the bit of news about GZ and Gye took it up his nostrils. Not sure why Nyx puts up with it, maybe because you do a good job with the news handling. How you digested the E3 trailer and wrote all the little bits that might've gone unnoticed from the rest of us, that was gold. |

Also, going by the mod section, Nyx shares a lot of the same views I do (as does Solid), on some members here and my actions, so I'm not entirely a douche like you wish to believe. I just don't take thing too seriously here. That's kind of the charm of it, exactly because it is a small group, everyone can say everything. Like how baldgye and Scotia always make fun of me because I bought a Wii U at launch, I don't get mad about that, in fact I think it's funny. |

I just think it's too early to judge GZ for its price/value. We don't know how long it is. If they ask 30 for it, I guess it must be pretty meaty. I'm not bothered by the price anyway, more by the lack of a physical release for next gen. Also, maybe it will come with the new Metal Gear Online or something? That could explain the price as well. |

No it's not. I ignored it becasue it makes even less sense than the Deus Ex shit you were talking about in an uneducated fashion. To help you grasp; If you buy a PS3 game, say like BF4... you get a discount on (now pay attention) THE SAME GAME but the PS4 version. Now how, in any fucking way is that anything like, or even relevant to buying one game like GZ's and getting a totally different game at a discount?! Because I own like 10+ copies of MGS3 does that mean I'm entitled too or should even think that I should or might get a discount on MGS4? Please be more educated. |

That would give more merit to the price tag, yeah. I'm not that interested in MGO, but it's definitely content to pay more for. I bet they will eventually release an edition that has both GZ and PP in one neat little package for your collector hands. I'm getting them both for PS3 first, then at some point upgrade to PS4. I was pissed off. Now I feel silly. @baldgye: You're like a little British bulldog, aren't ya. Read again what I wrote. I mention both PS3->PS4 and Deus Ex for a reason. If you combine PS3->PS4 and Deus Ex, you can piece together a scenario, where GZ is like a pre-order package of PP. In so some of what you paid for GZ, let's say 30% of the price, would be down payment for the real deal. I'm still not saying it will happen, but the thought is not absurd. I'm not really interested in MGO either, but a lot of people are really looking forward to it. And yeah, I bet they will bundle the two games eventually, but maybe not right away. |
