That's been on my mind lately, how high profile MGS is anymore to the masses, who often enjoy annual or bi-annual iterations of their favourite games.

Every time I see someone say something along the lines of Thief [or Dishonored even] is the king of stealth games, I dunno, I kinda take it to heart, because it seems like such an asinine and uneducated thing to say, when to me Metal Gear is head and shoulders above every other game in the genre. I honestly just wanna ask them, yo, are you seriously fuckin' retarded? Could be blatant bias from PC gamers that are under the impression first-person games are the be all and end all of genres. I've played both those series, personally, and I know everyone has their preferences, but from just juxtaposing what kind of gameplay advantages each offers, how do they not even consider MGS in the discussion half the time. One of the most baffling things to me in recent memory.

Anyways. It has nothing to do with should MGSV have been at Sony's or not. Each conference had it's unique showcase of games, despite most of them not being entirely exclusive. I don't believe any exceptions were made.

Off-Topic: Troy Baker seems to have really nailed the Joker in that Batman: Arkham Origins trailer. Impressive.

MGS might not sell numbers like something like Call of Duty or even Halo, but it's still a million seller. It's impressive MGS4 sold over 5 million copies while being on just one system. So I think it's still pretty big in general, it must be to sell like that. But yeah, it's mainly a series for core gamers I guess.

guys the reason the xbox one is huge is so MS can make countless slimmer models. they already have a slim model designed probably.
