Nisa stopped for just long enough to trace a circle of ink on the ground; then, she stood in the center and activated it. The circle turned into a sheet of lightning that carried her off the ground, and within seconds, she'd caught up to Desmond. "Hey there! Don't you worry about me, I'll be just fine!" She swept him off the ground, carrying him atop the magic circle. |

Desmond was certainly not expecting this to happen. He wasn't exactly sure what to think about it. On one hand, they were moving exceedingly quickly, away from the blob of certain doom. On the other hand... "Do you think it is still following us? Perhaps it is safe to let me down now." Desmond muttered, self-conscious of being held in a manner he was most unused to. There was a reason it was called a bridal carry, after all. |

"...What, ya don't like bein' carried around?" Nisa glared at her cargo. "You were movin' like a slug and this was the best way I could think of to get us both the hell outta there. By the way, ya never told me your name, you jackass." |

"I will not tell you my name, until you let me down. And I wouldn't describe my speed as being like a slug. I was pulling you along, after all." Desmond sighed. He might as well get resigned to this treatment, as it seemed unlikely to cease. "My name's Desmond. And I wish you wouldn't be so rude with the man that saved your life. It makes my work seem even more thankless than it is." |

Nisa abruptly stopped the moving platform, then allowed it to dissipate; only after her feet touched the ground did she set down Desmond. "Where'd you get that from? 'Course I'm grateful for you saving my life." She hung her head. "...Well, sorry, I guess. That... wasn't really nice of me, I'll admit." Rubbing the back of her neck, she smiled. "Anyway. Name's Nisa Rembrandt. Nice to meetcha, Des." |

Desmond sighed. That nickname would never leave, it seemed. "Don't apologize, it just makes me feel bad. And it is nice to meet you as well, Miss Rembrandt." Shrugging, Desmond continued. "If I may ask, just where did that blob-thing come from? And why was it attacking you? I must admit, it was rather fortunate for you I was able to hear the fighting." |

"Don't have the first freakin' clue," Nisa replied, shrugging. "Thing just popped up outta nowhere and attacked me. Couldn't understand a damn thing it was saying." She shook her head. "Yeah, pretty fortunate, I'd say. Anyway, ya up to anything? I could take you out on the town a bit. To thank you, I mean. I know it sounds stupid, but... eh. I'm better with actions than words, or at least I think so." |

Desmond smiled at Nisa's suggestion. "Sure, I wouldn't mind. I'm definitely hungry, that's for sure. Using my armagus...takes a lot out of me." Shrugging, Desmond decided to throw a compliment in there. "You don't seem particularly bad with either, at least in my opinion." With that, Desmond removed his hood. Without any fighting, there wasn't much point to keep the thing on. Just made him seem less personable, though the threatening aspect did help from time to time. |

"...Heh. You forgave me pretty quickly after I called you a jackass." Nisa blinked when Desmond removed his hood; she had to admit, he was pretty good-looking. She offered him a hand, grinning. "I'll show you around. There's a place I like to hit every so often... not sure if it's your type, but ya can't know unless ya try, right?" |

"Well, I don't like to bear grudges. Besides, you stopped what I disliked, and apologize. I have little reason not to forgive you, especially if you are offering me food." Desmond took her hand. It felt surprisingly gentle, especially after how she fought. "I don't exactly have any other plans. I'd be happy to follow you, Nisa." |
