Nu shrugs happily. "That's okay! Nu knows Nu shouldn't talk about Nu as if Nu is outside Nu, but Nu does it anyway! Or used to. Rachel gets all frizzy whenever Nu does it. Her pigtails spring out like this!" A fan of swords stab quite abruptly out from Nu's hair, and then retract into empty space. "Mr. Heinie gets annoyed too, but he never says anything about it."

The Murakumo considers for a moment. "Oh, if you like old stuff, you should talk to Rachel! She's really really old, and I bet she knows all those words and languages and things you're so interested in." She tosses the brand-new cannonball behind her and folds her hands behind her back, swaying from side to side, her braid swinging along behind her. "Though, I think she's pretty tired right now. She's doing her portal thingie a lot."

Ashley glances at the Soul Pick curiously. "So that's it, huh? Your soul thingie. Have you considered armoring it up? Or sticking it in your body somewhere? Both seem like something you'd want to be doing. I mean hanging loose, that's just sorta asking for it."

"Yup, this is it. Guess you got the rundown from Jagd or Epsilon." Rusty answered the young computer specialist. "And truth to be told, the thought hadn't crossed my mind just yet. I've only had it for about a week and for most of that I've been confined to a hospital bed. Earlier today was literally the first time I'd gotten up in a week and I guess I just hadn't thought about it that way."

He didn't make any effort to hide it away though.

"I'll give it some thought. Might be able to make some sort of pouch for it or maybe I could bug Jagd for a seal. Honestly though, I'd better wait til Eppy gets here. He's the guy who made it, so it'd make sense getting his opinion, right?"

The mechanic slid down the wall until he was sitting next to one of the halves of the Dunmainn twins.

"It's weird though. I still feel like I'm me normally. But if I touch it, it feels like it has it's own pulse or something. Not completely sure what happens if someone else grabs it though."

He chuckled, shaking his head at his own thoughts.

"Knowing my luck, they'd read my mind or get access to my memories or secrets or worst comes to worst, control my like some kind of puppet."

What.
Albus gazed at the Soul Pick carefully before giving a wry grin. "Heh, your soul in a guitar pick, eh? Guess that's your last connection to the Halford, whether you used it on that or not."

"Senta, how's the new weapon ideas been going, Rusty?" He asked. "Do you have any ideas yet?"

Ashley looks dubious. "I think making sense is not what you should use as a reason to go talk to Epsilon. I'm just saying." She scratches her head. "Why not get it set in a collar, then? Still sort of a fashion accessory, but it's not hung loose. Probably be a lot harder to lose, too."

Nu glances over at Rust, curious. "Is Rust still going to play guitar now? Or . . . did that go away with the Halford?"

"The man may be certifiably insane, but he knows his stuff. Even you can't deny that, Ashley." Rusty answered honestly, looking over at the girl sat next to him. "And the collar could be an idea, but it'll have this weird dog collar S&M vibe thing, I reckon. No thanks."

He shuddered at the thought of walking around with what was basically a dog collar attached to a lead. Which was curiously being held by the adult Rachel for some odd reason.

At Albus' remark, he groaned and held his head in his hands.

"No no no...don't bring that shit up." he moaned to himself, "It's going horribly. Every idea comes up sort and every workable design just doesn't feel right or me or what I want it to be. It's like the Halford was tailor made for my Dad but was good enough for me....and now I can't get the feel for any other weapon. Guess this is what I get for putting too many eggs in one basket, huh?"

The mechanic did perk up at Nu's question though.

"I...I dunno, Nu." Rusty replied. "I really haven't had time to think about that recently. I mean, if I had a guitar, then maybe I would, but..."

He shrugged.

"I doubt Rachel's got a museum here built for Pre Dark War Instruments."

What.
Albus shrugged. "Yeah, I doubt she would. If she does, it's all shit Beethoven and Mozart would've used. Sirts’khvilia."

He leaned back into the fallen pillows that he still hasn't moved from. "Nu raises a good question though. I know you said you need a new fighting style, but are do you still wanna use a guitar?"

He loosened his scarf a little. "Ne znam, you said that using the Halford was, like, too heavy or slow to wield and maneuver with or something like that, right? So...something that eliminates that problem? I know you've probably been busting your ass thinking of something to do that, but is there any way you can do that and still be able to do a lot of damage?"

Ashley laughs a little and shrugs. "Well, fighting and stuff isn't really my expertise. I'm sort of okay with a pistol, but anything heavier has too much kick for me to really use it well." A minor frown evidences itself on her face. "Are you gonna stick with up-close stuff, though? I mean, all told, you might want options. Speaking as an amateur."

Nu scratches her head. "What about Mr. Heinie?" She says. "He's got a lot of old hobbies, and he was around before the Dark War too. Do you think he might be able to help you out, Rusty?"

"Speed was the one thing I really didn't have. Speed and manoeuvrability." Rusty answered honestly. "Seriously, most athletic I got was Earthshaker and that was a straight leap upwards. Range wasn't a problem, cause I had Treble form and Bass was insane when I got in close. The only problem was staying in close and keeping up."

This had really easily been found out when he had taken remedial lessons with Tsubaki. He'd mostly relied on the innate powers of the Halford and when she told him to turn it off for their fight one time, she'd managed to win fairly easily, Rusty getting falls only be sheer luck or trickery like pulling her hat down.

"And at the same time...I'm used to axes now. I'm never going to be able to hold a polearm or a knife or a katana or whatever with the same skill as I did with a guitar-axe."

There was a sentence no one in the entire world had ever said.

Nu's words were uplifting however.

"Yeah..." Rusty looked up, thinking the idea over in his head. "Yeah, you're right... he would have something stashed somewhere, wouldn't he? He seems like the type to have the odd Pre War hobby..."

With a grunt, he stood up, Soul Pick shimmering in the light. Offering a hand up to Ashley, Rusty gave a grin at Nu.

"Sis, you are on FIRE today. Do you know where Valkenhayn is right now?"

What.
Albus grinned from his spot on the floor.

"Xeā l̀a, so we're gonna look for the werewolf, huh?" He pushed himself off of the ground and dusted himself off before walking up to the rest of the group. "Ready to go once you are."

Nu blinks. "Nope!" she says brightly. "But I know where his wing of the mansion is. Will that do?"

Ashley takes Rust's hand up and dusts herself off from the pillow avalanche. "Alright, so we're going to go explore an old guy's old stuff." she says, wryly. "Lead on, sister."

Nu waves at them once - "Come on, then!" - and then tramples out over the pillows and into the hall, hanging a left into a narrow hallway.
