Relius Clover was not in a good mood. The fact he had good moods to begin with was a surprise, but when one normally takes to a stoic disposition, the slightest emotion would often be considered a major achievement. Relius Clover was slightly irritated. The 13th Murakumo Unit. Gone The 13th Murakumo Unit Containment Vessel. Gone. The Kingfisher. Gone. Several hundreds of research papers and development. Gone Millions of Platinum Dollars sunk into the development. Gone. The Cauldron. Gone. The ENTIRE WADATSUMI HEADQUARTERS. Gone. And now he had been receiving reports that the Air Corps had failed in their mission of stopping Ragna the Bloodedge gathering supplies at that hardware by that witch woman, Rachel despite them expecting them to be there in the first place.. Not to mention she had shown up again and again at the Monoc compound and at the Sureshot enterprise, halting their missions there as well. Not to mention the Red Devil himself joining the fray, showing where the allegiance of Sector Seven lay. For once, the N.O.L had been taken aback. That stopped right now. Reaching his desk, Relius pressed a button on the intercom after getting every document he needed for this meeting arranged neatly on his desk. He frowned slightly as Ignis floated silently behind them. "Send them in." |

Terumi is the first through the door, and he smiles like always, as if nothing has gone wrong. "Hey, Clover!" he calls buoyantly, and swoops for a chair opposite the desk, setting it perpendicular to the other man's desk. "Wow, so much shit has gone down since I last checked in. Have we really managed to tick off even more people? Competent ones? My, my - all the little soldiers are taking my lessons to heart then." His fingers tap against the chair. "And that Cauldron." Terumi says with that smile. His hair, green and thick, rises silently, as if from the passing breath of a giant. "That Cauldron is gone. Whoooooo. Didn't we have a rapid response team or something to deal with that?" |

What.

The next man through the door is a familiar Wing of Justice. Orpheus walks in and bows politely. "Captain Orpheus, present for the meeting." He walks to the desk, sitting in a chair beside Terumi. These last few day have been stressful for the Doppelganger. Rust Hetfield's latest actions have caused him some inner turmoil. Though he still respects Rust... He doesn't think he can forgive him. Not for this. 'Rust...what in god's name have you gotten yourself into this time?' |

Relius just offered Terumi a nod, more focused on the Captain who next walked in through the door. After seeing Orpheus sit, he slides forward one piece of paper. It was a mugshot "Hetfield, Rusty. Mechanic. 20 years of age. Now S-Class, however at the time of this picture, it was B-class." Another piece of paper was pushed forward. "Your report on his arrest two months ago. And I quote: 'A deal was struck wherein if I emerged the victor from our skirmish, Hetfield would come quietly and make no efforts to escape. In response, I was to be assigned to a different target that did not include his compatriots.' Along with a detailed account of how he managed to keep up with a supposedly talented Captain of the Wings of Justice." A third sheet of paper pushed forward. This time, a grainy photo. "Hetfield. Again. Leading an assault on Wadatsumi HQ shortly before it was wiped from the Earth." Relius sat up straight, no emotion on his face, but his aura just radiated malice. "I demand an explanation." |

"Ah, see, that's something I'm wanting too." Terumi said, folding his hands together. The bones cracked and shifted. "Because, see, apparently Rusty went into the Wadatsumi branch after a Murakumo unit. The thirteenth. And he called her his 'sister'." A long, long pause. "Sister." Terumi says, experimentally. "Sister. That Murakumo is a thing. A napkin. A towelette. And now, somehow, it's had personality attached to it, which means when I get around to dissolving it back into the Boundary, it's going to really suffer, Captain. That's bad public relations, don't'cha know." |

What.

'Fuck.' On the outside, Orpheus appears unfazed. On the inside, however, his heart is pounding so loud he's afraid that the two men will hear it. 'Rust, if I find you again...' "On the day that I arrested Hetfield, my leads had taking me to Kazamotsu." He begins, voice level and not betraying his emotions. "I followed his every movement. When I follow such a tactic, my target usually panics. They will either foolishly attack me, or bail, all while under the desperation of terror. I was hoping that he would do the same. He didn't. At the time, the proposal seemed to be the best chance of apprehending him. My last words during the failed sting from earlier had left him troubled. He made the offer because he wanted to prove to me he could fight on his own. He was practically throwing himself at me to arrest him. And he made it clear that he would flee should I not agree to the terms." He leans back, seemingly relaxed. "I believed that the rest of the Librarium could keep his friends at bay. But that damn mercenary broke him out." He grit out the mention of Desmond. "From there, you know how it escalated." He bows his head apologetically. "If I had believed that my actions would have led to this, I would have chosen more wisely. I cannot express my shame and apologies. "But rest assured..." He said in a dark tone, head raising to look straight at Relius and copying face and voice. "If I see Hetfield, or any of his allies, again... I'll kill them. Painfully." He is silent before turning to look at Terumi, copying him. "And excuse me, Captain Hazama, but the publicity concerning the relationship of the Murakumo and the Librarium was bad the instant the claims and rumors of what she was do be used for came out. I'm sure that whatever must be done to hear now will not effect our publicity at this point." |

"And why, pray tell, did you leave the prison yourself?" Relius inquired. "You knew he had allies and yet, you were nowhere present when Hetfield escaped thanks to Lang, who, by the way, was under your employ not a month before." Relius' tone would have made a statue cringe and look away. "Even if you were to follow the supposed 'terms' of this deal, Hetfield broke that deal as soon as he left Kazamotsu. The very instant he stepped foot outside the gate, you should have been on the verge of apprehending his allies. You put up a fight against both Jin Kisaragi and the 13th Murakumo Unit at one point and now you seemingly can't handle one mere mechanic?" The question hung in the air. "Another question. As part of the Wings of Justice in that area, you were nowhere present during the attack on the Wadatsumi branch. Where, exactly, were you? Fighting with trees again? This seems to be piling up, Captain." the Puppeteer warned. Ignis' talons gleamed just so in the light... The tension grew until Relius leaned back and smirked that little grin of his. "I'm fascniated to see how the next act of your comedy plays out, Captain Xenos. Please go on and try to explain what our next focus should be. I am, as they say, waiting with baited breath." |

Terumi leans back into his chair until it balances on the rear two legs. "Six humans, and a washed out NOL cadet. Broke into the Wadatsumi branch, mowed down everything in their way, grabbed the Murakumo. Six. None of them besides this - pathetic academy reject - even used Ars." The chair rocks forwards and its legs slam to the floor hard enoough to crack tiling. "Guns." Terumi rasps. "Gunmen. It was a bank robbery, captain, from two centuries ago, and they made off with the goods. Our goods. My Murakumo. Do you know how many souls are in a Murakumo? Have you even comprehended the fact that some shitty thugs just walked through Wadatsumi, and the Air Corps two days later, and got away without a single casualty?" Terumi claps, the sharp crack echoing. "We are past promises, Captain Xenos." Terumi whispers in the grave silence afterwards, like spinal velvet, like bony cord, the whipcrack knot of a hangman's noose. "And so are you." Edited by Gleam, Jul 19 2012, 08:33 PM.

What.

Orpheus makes no sound or movement for several minutes. He knows that this will be disastrous for him. He fucked up. Bad. And now, it was time for punishment. 'These two...they speak like madmen.' He thinks. A part of his mind raises a red flag. 'Souls...? Did Captain Hazama...just say that souls went into a Murakumo?' And the Colonel...if he is involved in this, then...if he can work with something so gruesome, then the rumors circulating of the origin of the Nirvana his son commands, and his own Ignis...must be true.' A sickening feeling drenches over Orpheus. These men are not good, trustworthy people. And he knows that they are up to something. The thought that they've been under his nose the whole time is nauseating. '...My god, what have I gotten myself into?' Finally, slowly, Orpheus speaks up. "I can see that you have plans for me, concerning my failures." He sighs. "As I do not believe I have any say in the matter, just tell me what it is so we can do it and move on to fighting the rebels." |

Relius watched the man for several minutes, golden eyepiece not leaving the expressionless mask of Orpheus. A slow smile graced his pale features as Xenos basically handed himself on a silver platter to the two men. Oh the possibilities. I could transform him into my third puppet, an utter masterpiece who could copy any toy he so wished. I could break his soul into pieces and see if, despite under Catoptr, if the real Orpheus Xenos really existed at all. I could let Terumi play with him for a little while, concerning his mood right now. Hmm, not yet. I still have use for you yet. You may not be made of metal, but you are still a puppet on my string, Captain Xenos. There is some use left in you and it would be a shame to see such an artful display go unused before your expiration. "Captain Hazama." the colonel abruptly spoke, keeping the man's pseudonym for now, just in case. "I think Captain Xenos is due a visit from a Phantom, wouldn't you agree?" |
