Siobhana sips her omnipresent glass of tea and peers across the table at their benefactor. Rachel stares pleasantly back. That stare, and the occasional pleasant conversational nothing, have been all that has passed over the meeting table for the last half hour. Jagd, in his corner, sits and waits silently, unbothered by the passage of time, and Ashley snoozes next to him, slumped over against his shoulder, and drooling a wee bit.

Apparently, showing up a half hour early to the meeting Siobhana had requested was a bit too much.
Class. Dig it up, dust it off, hang that shit crooked on an ear. My halo's a land mine rind, amigo.

This...was an odd request. A meeting between us? And why not bring some of the heavier hitters? Tager's not there, neither are the Happy Couple.

Such were the thoughts of Rusty as he wandered towards the meeting spot. Having just spent the morning chatting and playing with Nu (Not in that way, don't do this to me, Brain!), the mechanic had suddenly received a summons from Monoc, more specifically, Siobhana for a meeting round about this time. Leaving the Murakumo to her own devices and explicitly forbidding her from touching his tools, the rocker had just now arrived at the specified door.

With a slight inhale, he pushed open the door, Moody Blue and Red Special crossed at his back. The reason why they were split was because Rusty had been recently tweaking them and to be honest, he needed to get used to their split form on his back just as easily as their combined mode. Upon seeing Siobhana and Rachel, he gave both a courteous nod.

"Thanks for inviting me, Miss McClatchley." he said, putting on the Customer Voice. "I'm guessing this is the part where we find out what's happening next?"

He looked over. Yup, there was Jagd, as expected. He offered a quick wave and sniggered slightly at Ashley's predicament.

"Did I arrive too early or are we going to have to wake up Sleeping Beauty over there?"

Jin walks into the meeting room, visibly annoyed. There was much to be done at present, and he didn't think this was an appropriate use of his time. Rachel's previous comments about the skill of the mercenaries didn't exactly make him want to sit and plan with them.

This irritation comes to a head when he sees one of their number still sleeping. Tossing a look at Rachel, he shakes his head.

"Am I early? Or is this truly how I can expect you to act on missions? The NOL might be corrupt beyond measure, but they at least showed a semblance of professionalism."

Jin was perfectly aware he was being an ass. But at this point, when they were effectively in a state of war, was it really so much to expect a little decorum?

What.
'Calm down, Albus. Come on, supakoicca...'

Running down the hallway and running a hand down his face, Albus certainly was not calm right now. If he were to be totally honest, he was on the verge of having a total panic attack and was trying everything to make sure that did not happen.

'Don't overreact. Don't over think. If you act stupid and don't tread carefully, everything will go to hell. I can't let my problems screw everyone else over.'

When Albus had been called for the meeting, he had been sitting on his bed, broken out of a state of total horror that had nearly caused him to crush his phone.

He had been given the okay to call his sister.

Only the person on the other end wasn't his sister.

Another wave of borderline hysteria surged through him, and before he could catch himself and calm down, Albus was sprinting down the hall like his life depended on it.

He runs so fast that he has to catch himself from running into the door of the meeting room. He freezes at the doorway, trying but failing to take a nice, soothing deep breath.

'Supakoicca. Supakoicca. Get a hold of yourself, Albus. If you don't, a lot more than Oksana is going to get hurt. Supakoicca.'

Wearily, Albus opened the door to the meeting room. Even now he still breaths heavily, face tinged slightly from exertion and a small amount of sweat beading his forehead, hidden by his bangs. His normally bold and energetic green eyes are wide with fear.

"Guys." Is all he manages to say.

Oddly, despite his recent ordeal, Micah didn't resemble a member of the living dead as he made his way to the meeting area. Having spent much of the previous afternoon - after finishing up with Rusty - assisting his team in getting settled, he had collapsed shortly after it had transitioned to evening. Callie had woken him up about an hour ago, having received Siobhana's invitation in his stead.

Despite that, he still was feeling slightly groggy as he walked into the room. His ears refused to lift much past half-mast, but his tail started swishing as he curiously surveyed those present. Frowning slightly and blinking, he said, "Uh, good morning everyone. Am I late?" He was pretty sure he wasn't, but there were already so many people there.

Last again, but little else could be expected of him. "Hey guys," says Epsilon cheerily, stepping into the room. "Sorry, I got a bit dizzy on my way here and then I got lost and..." He stops himself and looks about, sheepish grin spreading across his face, "Er, anyway, yeah, what's going on? And who are you guys?" He gestures towards Micah and Albus in particular and then at Jin, although halfheartedly-his expression makes it very clear that he is likely an asshole.

'Not the good kind either, like Ragna,' he thinks mildly, 'The kind that's just a dick to you for no reason. Well, come to think, Ragna kinda does that. But at least he has a sense of humor.'

There is order here. A counter-current to the ever expanding riptides of chaos that Terumi sows. Within these individuals are the keys to piecing together the tearing state of reality, and repair the tipping balance of order and disorder.

With a surprised expression, Epsilon says aloud, "Wow Maxwell, that was the most sane thing you've ever said. And you didn't even shout at me like a crazed demonic manifestation of a thermodynamic thought experiment. Kinda makes me wish you were Schrodinger's cat or something. At least he'd meow. Sometimes. Maybe. I'd need a box." He looks about and scratches the back of his head awkwardly, "Uh, Maxwell approves of you guys. Long story short."

"On time. Merely concession to obsessive tendencies of Siobhana." Jagd replies to Rust mildly, as he pokes Ashley in the side. She snorts and sits up, rubbing sleep out of her eyes. (Siobhana permits herself a long, weary sigh at the characteristic show of Monoc discipline and order). He glances at Jin as he enters next, blinks at him, and then looks to Rachel.

"Sister?" he asks, pointing a finger at Jin.

"I am afraid not." Rachel replies gravely, her eyebrows high in either confusion or amusement.

"Ah." Jagd says with a nod. "Faulty hypothesis."

Ashley yawns, a hand over her mouth, and waves at everyone else just entering the room. "Hey people!" she calls, and scoots her chair back to a reasonable distance away from Jagd. "We're - oh, wow, Albus, you look freaked." She frowns in concern, standing up and winding through the chairs to get a better look at him. "You alright?"

Siobhana gives up the hope of general group order and decides to just hurry up and address the group at large. "Hello, Mr. Hetfield, Mr. Lorenz, Mr. Hakubi. I believe I need to do a bit of introductions, here. I assume all present are familiar with my Operational Director Jagd Asimov Metschulin, and our friend Rust Hetfield, who is originally a mechanic, but successfully lead an assault on the Wadatsumi NOL branch with Jagd's help."

She points at Albus. "Albus Scaslivy is a disgruntled former member of the NOL who has decided to join our cause. He helped evacuate Mr. Hetfield's shop, and his sister, I am told, is a member of the NOL Intelligence division, and gave us collaborating intel on the attacks that let us evade harm."

The finger moves to Micah. "Micah Cholin is the founder of Sureshot Industries, a corporation that provides - or provided - Jagd and his men with the arms and ammunition they regularly used. When Arcturus, the Air Corps mobile fortress, arrived, Rachel informs me that its Admiral personally paid them a visit, meaning they are in just as great danger as the rest of us are."

Ashley, who fails to notice. "Ashley is a member of Monoc, and our computer specialist. The rest of our members would be present, but Isley Dumainn and Rueham Agley, our scout and pilot, are injured and confined to bed rest. Michael Bardock, our sniper and fireteam second, is evacuating family members, and Hannah Gaspar, our mechanic, is busy repairing and refitting equipment damaged by the recent events."

And finally, Epsilon. "Zachary Lorenz - or Epsilon, as he prefers to go by - is an engineer and former associate of Kokonoe, and is now a member of Monoc. He is the only person present in the mansion capable of medical procedures, is a talented scientist, and is responsible for bringing both Mr. Hetfield and Jagd back to . . . relative states of good health."

Siobhana lowers her hand and nods to Jin, choosing a more courteous option. "Our guest here is Jin Kisaragi, a veteran of the Ikaruga Civil War and another former NOL member displeased with its current direction. He missed a briefing earlier while out on assignment - which I am told was providing a distraction for our escape from Wadatsumi - and Rachel Alucard, the lady of this mansion and our current benefactor, requested his presence here in order to inform him of current affairs."

And Rusty knew each and every one of them.

Small world, indeed... This is so goddamn intense.

Jin walking in had given him pause. The ice wielder and him had not left on the greatest of terms, yet the man HAD saved his life against Orpheus and stopped him dying from bloodloss. He owed the man a free motorcycle check up, after all. He'd promised. Course, Jin hadn't paid for that ballcock for his toilet yet, but damn it, just the fact Jin broke his bathroom was funny to the mechanic.

However, his thoughts were jolted by Ashley rushing over to Albus. The mechanic's eyes went slightly wide.

"Dude, the hell happened? You alright, man?" he asked, also concerned. Despite only knowing the language expert for a few days, the man had basically pulled his ass out the fire and aided him without really needing much provocation. That meant a hell of a lot to the rocker and if Albus had a problem, he had a problem.

Jin cared little for what went on, content to observe the happenings. In truth, he was thankful that Rust had chosen not to bring up what happened previously, and let the past be the past.

However, as Desmond walked into the meeting, he joined Rusty's inquiry with his own. He hadn't spoken with Albus for long, but in that time, he'd managed to earn a good deal of respect.

"If there is a problem, I would be glad to handle it, Albus. Taking care of problems is what I do."

His deadpan tone left it unclear if the second sentence was spoken seriously, or sarcastically.

What.
Albus shifted his gaze to Ashley, then to Rusty, and finally to Desmond. Having people on hand to inquire what was wrong was...different. Albus had never really experienced such a situation before. A strange, but welcome, feeling struck him. Whatever it was, it was soothing.

'...Huh. I guess this is what it's like to have friends ready to stick up for you.'

He snapped out of his thoughts and shook his head. "No guys. I'm not really alright." He admitted, rubbing his forehead. He looked back up, his eyes considerably more calm but still noticeably serious.

"Guys...they've got sis."
