Eocene Epoch Priabonian age June 17th 2:00 AM Nemegt Basin, Mongolia. Just as the Eocene brought the end to some ancient fauna in our world. The same will be done but at a lesser extent. A Leptoceratopsid cleans up after a Velociraptorine animal's kill. In the Eocene, leptos are generalistic omnivores but later they will split and become predators and herbivores. Equals to our boars and entelodonts. The ceratopsian flees the carcass as a trio of Gigantoraptorids walk by. Giants who's ancestor was Gigantoraptor itself. As one feeds on what's left of the carcass, the other two fed on fruits on a nearby tree. A few miles away, the last of the Therizinosaurus genus dines on a flowering tree while a herd of Tsintaosaurus descendents migrate to Russia for cooler weather and conifers but as they travel they pass through something that is alien to them, Grassland. Rare in the mesozoic, grass has began to become dominant in now small pockets of the world are now covered in grass rather than ferns and horsetails. As new species appear, be it plant or animal, older genera slip away into history. Soon the remnants of the mesozoic will slip away and the dinosaurs of the Cenozoic inherit their ancestor's world.
