The KC require aspiring CC judges to have judge a minimum of 3 club shows (limit or open) to progress. With the falling entries alot of clubs are suffering from nowdays, is it still right that this minimum is retained when a judge can put there hands on as little as a dozen or so exhibits as a single sex judge and still "count" the club show?. I'm all for a fairer criteria but, this surely isn't accepable anymore?. Is the answer less hands on dogs and more club shows? |

Think it's time breed clubs did away with 2 judges for their open shows then at least one judge will have the numbers. |

even that isn't a great deal though in some cases is it Linda?. Less than 30 in some cases (SBT's here were talking about anyone else reading) then you can in theory be faced with a class of that size at a Ch show. |

It is not the KC criteria to have to do three bred clubs in all breeds. Some breed clubs don't do limit shows or even have 2 judges at a champ show |

Any criteria for judges is set by the Breed Clubs or Breed Council. |

To qualify for an A3 List (this is labradors),you must has done 2 breed club shows ,one of which there must have been at least 75 dogs present to be gone over by the judge, you must has also judged 90 classes of the breed but your qualifying club show of 75 plus dogs does not count in those 90 classes |
