Don't really like to brag but thought that I would let you all know that my pup Maidenbower Make Believe (named after Conway Twitty's song!) has won at the last three Ch shows that he has attended - Northen Counties Whippet Club (MPD & BPD), East Anglian Whippet Club (PD) and the Houndshow (PD). His next show is Richmond but he is up in junior there.

Here he is winning BP at an open show - he is slightly overstretched as I have lost his bend of stifle.

Hi Becky, Loving the photo's, he looks to have a lot of scope for development and maturity. Nice.

Hi Becky, Loving the photo's, he looks to have a lot of scope for development and maturity. Nice.
I am pleased with him - he is a complete outcross bred by my mum and the stud dog owner is happy with him too! Looking at his COI on a breed specific programme he is 0.00% over 7 generations and 0.34 for 9 generations with full pedigrees. Not sure if anyome really follows that or even looks at it or not though!! Haven't checked the KC one. He is what (I believe) he should be at his age - a puppy with maturing to do. You see so many now in all breeds had are the finished article at 8 or 9 months old. My older dog (in my profile pic), although did well as a youngster really came into his own around 5 or 6 years old.
He still enjoys himself in the ring and thinks the table is put there so he can kiss the judge easier!! They have to enjoy it though and they are not robots!!!

Completely agree. I kept a Buhund dog puppy and so many people asked why I kept him. He answered their questions when he turned 5 by taking 5 tickets on the bounce that year. He also proved to be a particularly good stud even though he was about as outcrossed as you could get in those days. Very good luck with your boy. :) As a matter of interest, does he have Oakbark breeding?

No Oakbark in the first 5 generations. He is by a Courthill dog out of a Maidenbower bitch.

Could I just brag that my hooligan has managed to pass his good citizen bronze award. He even took his test outside where there was a obedience show with loose dog on a fetch and recall when he did his stay but he stayed in a down!! One of the breed clubs were running the tests at their open show recently.
