Aging Rates; Finally, an official time flow.

Due to time paradoxes created by the old aging system, all aging rates have been unified. Four IRL months will make one IC year. Characters will age 3 times annually. This is to allow people to get their characters to an age where substantial RP can be had, without entirely screwing up the continuity. The IC years will be divided up like so:

January - the end of April

May - the end of August

September - the end of December.

If you're wondering how that will translate to months, here is an explanation:

Each IRL month equals three IC months. Therefore, January IRL would be January, February, and March ICly. February IRL would be April, May, and June, and so on and so forth. Seasons will change according to the time of year, to help create a realistic environment, and to keep track of the year.

If, for example, your character's birthday is in March, they would age a year near the end of the following IRL months: January, May, and September. (This may seem complicated, but council is more than willing to help you.)

A note on the subject of pregnancies:
Pregnancies shall run three IRL months (nine months ICly).

On the subject of an established setting:

We have decided to keep the continuity loose and open. Our setting is "Edo era" without a specific year. This keeps it more relaxed as far as introducing characters from later in the period. Since historical characters are banned, you won't be meeting any date-specific Edo generals or anything.

Sincerely,
The Edo Era Continuity Council
