CONTINUED FROM: 'Start Zone - Keelara' IC: Keelara The river flowed slowly, early sunrise glinting off its surface in a gold-copper shimmering. Fifteen feet beneath the surface, sheltered by a large boulder, Makuta Keelara sat meditating, eyes closed. Tiny fishes flashed silver about her, scattered, flashed again. She had teleported here after her escape from the Instructor. Finding it an excellent place of temporary shelter, not to mention an excellent source of the raw energy contained by such large bodies of water, she had remained. The female Makuta had always loved the water; its sheer power, its life-giving qualities, the many varieties of flora and fauna that made its depths their home. As her species had no need of oxygen, indeed, no need of air in any form, she felt quite at ease in such an environment. The current tugged at her body, slid easily past with the eternal strength of its wont. Sand and silt swirled about her feet, drifting, sliding, drifting again... All was still. Peaceful. The day dawned, bloody in its silence. |

IC: Keelara Rain spattered against the river's surface. High above, grey clouds skimmed against the sky. Evening fell, dark shadows slithering across the island's landscape like black oily mist. The rogue female Makuta stirred, emerald green eyes sliding open, glowing with life and intelligence and deadly purpose. Fishes darted quickly away from her, startled by her movements, the first she had made in nearly twenty-four hours. So... once more, let the hunt begin. And this time, may the odds be more... kind. Few predators, after all, make a kill on every try. She smiled slightly behind her Great Kanohi Rau, pushed off from the sandy bottom and sliced easily, gracefully, to the surface. Treading water, she scanned the banks. Nothing. She smiled again, almost in anticipation, and swam quickly to the westward bank. The forest lay dense and dark before her; water dripped softly from her blue and white armor as she climbed out onto the rain-wet ground. Makuta Keelara drew a plasma-cored Lykos Khopesh, and stepped into the timber. Whatever would come, it was sure to be... interesting. CONTINUED IN: 'The Frantic Toa!'
