((Continued from The Good, the Sick and the Giant))

Harlen began to make his way back to the river before looking up into the sky. Something caught his eye, a small figure flying about just below cloud level in the distance. Harlen readied his Gauntlet Shield, determination burning in his eyes.

He focused his vision, straining to see what was up in the air. A chill was sent through his spine as whatever it was looked right back at him. Tense, Harlen began to drop down into a combat stance--he was ready for anything, even if his mind was not.

Jevson quickly descended upon his prey. Silver and black armor. This Toa was either in control of either iron or magnetism for sure. This fight would be easy for sure. Had it been a Toa of a more substantial element, then he might have to worry.

Jevson hit the ground in front of the Toa, who looked ready for a fight. Good to know the Toa might be experienced, rather than like some of the ones Jevson had fought in his home universe. Too bad he wouldn't live that long.

"Hello, Toa," the Rahkshi said. He removed his machine gun from its holster. "Just to make this fight a little more interesting, I'll put us on even ground." He threw the weapon to the grass.

Jevson could hear Blackwind already raving in excitement in his mind. That freak personality needed to shut up.

"Before we fight, my name is Jevson. I want to keep it quick. I have matters to attend to. Now, magnetism or iron, neither are much of an element, so I'll assume this won't take too much of my time."

Harlen stood, paralysed as the massive entity at least twice his height landed on the ground before him. Sporting what looked like a very strong armour and spikes which seemed to form a sort of crown on its head, the being spoke.

Harlen was distracted by the immensity of the being in front of him.

..."my name is Jevson." Harlen recognised that name, a mutated rahkshi, contestant number 55. Fear trickled down Harlen's spine. He had never seen a rahkshi before, let alone a mutated one, but Harlen knew that he was in a lot of trouble.

Jevson seemed to assume Harlen's element was either iron or magnetism, somewhat relieving him a fraction of panic. The rahkshi's eyes bored into him, all the while appearing distracted at times.

Iron or magnetism, eh? Harlen thought, attempting to spring up his confidence. Harlen began to focus, readying a blast of radiation in his palm and launched it towards Jevson.

"Not much for a friendly chat, then?" Jevson hissed. "Then let's fight."

Jevson began to form spheres of plasma in his hands. The first move would be the Toa's.

The last move would be his.

OOC: Sorry for the late post. Real life conflicts.

Harlen watched spheres of deadly orange form in the rahkshi's hands. As a result, Harlen brought the gauntlet shield up to his chest and readied another blast of radiation.

Hopefully it would do more than just singe his armour. Harlen's mask began to glow, the radiation energy in his hand pulsing with a red hot energy. He launched it at the rahkshi.

(OOC: Really sorry about the late post, I've been fairly busy over the past couple of days.

Jevson watched in amazement as the two orbs of strange, glowing energy fired from the Toa's hands. What kind of trickery was this? No Toa's powers looked like that.

He was lost in thought a second too long, as the orbs impacted with his midsection. The Rahkshi growled in pain as the spheres of radioactive energy burned through his armor and into his stomach. He lost concentration and the plasma blast he was readying dissipated. Eventually, the energy blasted two neat, irradiated holes through his abdomen. The Rahkshi let out a long hiss as blood and fluid oozed from the wounds, which had quickly cauterized due to the sheer head of the Toa's energy.

Slowly, but surely, Jevson's cells began to multiply once again. Each one with greater speed than the last. Within a few moments--moments that felt far too long for Jevson--the holes had healed over, leaving only two neat outlines of their edges on his sides.

Alright, the Rahkshi thought. My turn. Let's see how well you fight without your feet on the ground!

Jevson raised his palm, and with that action, the gravity in the immediate area was negated. Rocks began to move as no force held them down. While they were still in the gravity well of the planet, it only kept both combatants above the same ground. Everything else could now be fought in freefall.

Several boulders rose into the air too, perfect for bracing oneself against.

OOC: I can relate. I've got a lot to do today, so some of my responses may be late as well.

Clearly startled by the blast of radiation, the rahkshi winced. Harlen's pleasure turned into horror, however, as the wounds began to heal. The two perfect circles burnt into Jevson's armour seemed like eyes boring into him, taunting him.

The rahkshi lifted its palm and in one simple gesture he began to rise from the ground as if gravity had disappeared completely. Harlen struggled as he continued to rise, helplessly spinning around in the empty air.

Massive boulders rose in the air around the two. Harlen shuddered as one rose into the air between them, completely blocking him from view.

And that worried him most.

Jevson couldn't see the Toa, which wasn't good. He had no idea what this Toa was capable of--actually, he was beginning to question if it even was a Toa. He cloaked himself and used his gravity powers to pull himself around the boulder.

The Toa was on the other side, struggling in vein to move in the lack of gravity. Jevson smiled. The Toa may soon panic.

He let the gravity return to normal. He wouldn't be able to hold the field during combat.

The Toa and all the rocks fell. Jevson released his cloak and then descended on top of the Toa, planning on stabbing the terrified being with his clawed feet.

Harlen hit the ground with a groan as the gravity suddenly returned to normal. His muscles tensed as the boulders around him fell, crashing to the soft ground with a rhythmic pounding.

Harlen looked around to find the that the rahkshi had suddenly appeared above him, plummeting towards him with his clawed feet primed to kill. Harlen instinctively rolled away, barely avoiding the rahkshi's sharp claws.

He rolled into a combat stance facing his opponent. His eyes focused on the rahkshi as he simultaneously raised the temperature of the surrounding area, the grass sweltering under the sudden change in temperature.
Harlen's gauntlet shield began glowing red, infra-red radiation coursing through the metal as he charged towards the hulking rahkshi.

Jevson missed the Toa, who rolled out from under him. He growled in frustration, and then realized that the temperature was beginning to rise.

So, a miscolored Toa of Fire then? the Rahkshi thought. He looked at the Toa, who had already recovered.

The being was now charging at him, his shield-like gauntlet glowing red with heat.

Jevson smiled, and used his magnetism powers to grab his gun. The fight was growing pointless.

But it didn't reach his hand in time. The Toa hit Jevson in the thighs, knocking the Rahkshi over and burning his legs. The weapon went flying through the air and landed several yards away.
