I gonna save you guys the trouble of reading articles and just tell ya where the Braves injured players stand. Tanyon Sturtze - (rotater cuff surgery) When the Braves started their road trip Sturtze when down to Florida to start extended spring training. Bob Wickman - (back) Will be activated off the 15-day DL on Tuesday in Washington. Mark Redman - (toe) Made a rehab start at Triple A Richmond on Sunday pitching 5 scoreless innings. Could rejoin the Braves on Friday in Boston. Lance Cormier - (triceps) Scheduled to pitch 2 innings on Saturday at Double A Mississippi. Scheduled to make 2 starts at Mississippi then a rehad start at Triple A Richmond on May 29th. John Smoltz - (dislocated pinky) Left Monday's game with the injury. He is day-to-day and if swelling subsides than he will throw a bullpen session on Wednesday or Thursday before making a decision about his next scheduled start on Saturday in Boston. Chipper Jones - (thumbs) Missed his 3rd straight game Monday but was able to take batting practice and could be back in the lineup Tuesday. Brayan Pena - (concussion) Currently on 15-day DL. Has taken batting practice in the last week with no ill effects and could return Friday. Mike Hampton - (elbow surgery) Currently on 60-day DL and is out for the season after having elbow surgery. |
